Late Wednesday afternoon, I called QAS to order some more INRAtio testing strips.
I asked about having the strips shipped out first thing Monday (9/8) and mentioned the possibility of any hurricane activity. The CS rep said she'd try to get the strips shipped that afternoon. She said the last pickup was at 5:30p.m. and it was 5:22 p.m. EDT already. She said I should receive the strips Friday afternoon.

I was very pleasantly surprised when I got home yesterday -- the strips were delivered within 24 hours of placing the order!!! Got them Thursday instead of Friday!

(I pay out of pocket for the strips just to expedite getting them and not fooling with my d*&#@!d insurance carrier. So, that certainly helped. I had 2 strips left, so I wasn't in dire straits yet.)

Yea for QAS!!!

Marsha, my protime unit went dead and is currently back at the factory getting fixed. I'm waiting on a loaner to use in the meantime. Everyone has been very helpful on the phone but I'm still not sure what is the status of the loaner. I've got some upcoming knee surgery and I don't want to be without a unit as I go on and off the warfarin and Lovenox.

I've been watching "Ike" and following the forecast. It sure would be nice to have it just fade away. No one wants him to come their way. We are all tucked in snug waiting on Hannah to pass over. We need the rain, that's for sure, but not the rest of the package.

Yes, I always mention Lance and his brother, Shane (Shayne?), if I think I'm going to encounter a problem with QAS. It sure helps!
