Exciting day for me

Today my next door neighbor asked me to go to another suburb to pick up a car from a dealership.
It turns out the owner is an old friend of my neighbor.
To my surprise the owner is a man named Fred Grande.
That doesn't ring a bell??
Well he is the man who had his valve replaced thru the catheter!!
It was a great experience to sit and talk to him for almost two hours.
And I'm happy to report that he seems to be doing quite well.

How deliciously cool, Rich! Did your neighbor deliberately hook you two up because of the valve connection?

It was just an old clunker he was picking up for one of his kids.
But the guy( the valve replacement guy) has toys, a LOT of toys.
He even has a large private room at his dealership, just for working on his toys.

No it wasn't like that, these guys have known each other since the mid-forties. Thing is they moved to different places and lost contact for at least thirty years. Then when the guy had his valve replacement last year,it was all over the local news.When my neighbor saw the interview he said "I know that guy" and then did get in contact with him.
Funny thing is neither guy seemed to think it was a big deal.
But we know what an amazing advancement it was.

There wern't too many war stories there, after all he was back at work three days after the replacement!
