My INR came back a bit low last week so the nurse told me to up the dose by an extra 1/2 for just one day to get it back up where they like to see it. The next day I ran a bit harder than normal. I felt really good, so I pushed the last mile of a four mile run as fast as I could.
This morning I get up and my wife goes, YIKES! What happened to your eye? Apparently a blood vessel had burst and the entire lower half was no longer showing any white. It was completely blood red. Everybody I saw today was totally grossed out by the red eye. It doesn't hurt, just feels a bit strange.
I've gotten used to burst capillaries on the cheekbones after a hard workout and this isn't even the first time I've had the red eye. I know it'll settle out in a few days but it's a warning that those blood thinners are powerful sh*t.
