Just got back from the weekly marketing. It's a dreary day here, sort of drizzly.

As I started to put the groceries in the car, past me whizzed a man, with snow white hair, dressed in a spotless bright blue sport outfit, with new bright white sneakers and a jazzy baseball hat. He had hopped on the back axle of his market cart and was riding it down the slope to his car, urging it on with his back foot as it slowed.

He had a big grin on his face and was obviously and unabashedly enjoying his moment of childish freedom.

It was a fun image and made me smile

of course, we would tell our children and grandchildren to NEVER do this, and I suppose he wasn't on Coumadin

:) :) :)

And just the other night my wife said, What if you fall and cut yourself? Grow up!:D

Reminds me

Reminds me

Of many years ago..when we lived in a very small town..Had stopped for gas ( gas man pumped it) Just sat in car..rainy...looked out of window and said to an old timer sitting there..Bad day...and he said.....yup..but better than no day atoll:D :D :D :D :D :D Bonnie

pumpin gas - there's ONE place in town where they do full service. I pay a couple pennies more per gallon, they wipe windshield, fill tires, check under the hood - all that stuff they used to do. I hate pumpin gas!

Question - men (mostly) always look at the price of gas when traveling down the road/street. 'well, look at that - gas is three cents a gallon cheaper here than across town - guess I will go here'. Why? It costs that 3 cents more to GO across town. Why would you do that? You are right here - pay the extra 30 - 50 cents and get it here! Maybe, being female, I just don't get it. Gasoline seems to be such a big deal for 2-3 cents a gallon.

what are carts for then?

what are carts for then?

I'm with Bunny, Mark and Dave - that's just what you have to do with a shopping cart (we call them trolleys in the UK), coumadin or no coumadin!!

Keep on rolling,

Simon
