Actually, Barb, our daughter and newest grandson "Frisco" are all headed out to see the sights of Utah. My first good pictures involve you know who as we stopped for lunch. I swear Ellie has figured out how to make the camera her friend. These shots were taken while she was playing with Granpas hat. Barb and Steph. spend a lot of time on Frisco, and Ellie and I gladly make do with each other's company.

She's beautiful! I think the photos are a result of the special relationship Ellie shares with you. My daughter and Dad had a very special relationship too. She was the only granddaughter for my parents - and very much Grandpa's princess. She was the last of 7 grandchildren for Glenn's parents - 4 of them girls, so it was nice for her to feel singled out and special by my Dad. We all knew he didn't love his 3 grandson's any less and there was an equal amount of time for all but it was just a different connection for my Dad and Shelby. He died when she was 14 and she just told me the other day (now 22) that she often dreams of him and just sitting and talking with him. I told her she probably is!

We're two weeks away from a new grandchild and I'm wishing for a girl. We have 5 grandchildren now 4 of which are boys and the little girl is 7 and lives in Nashville. This one would be closer to us. Not that we'd love it any more.
