My 81yo husband had an aortic valve replacement and mitral valve repaired in December 2016. Did very well recovering from surgery. His problem is osteoarthritis of both shoulders and knee. The pain from this is interfering with his ability to exercise. Before he started Eliquis,Aleve was the med that he got the best relief from. The surgeon and cardiologist told him it would be safe to take one Aleve twice week for pain. Today his rheumatologist told him he thought he could take one a day when needed without any problem.(he also has a pacemaker). Does anyone in this group have any experience with using these drugs together? Any feedback will be much appreciated.
