Seems like my BP and pulse have been getting elevated. My BP top number is usually in the 120's or 130's and bottom number is usually in the 70's or 80's. Now my BP is about 20 point higher. Pulse is usually in the 70's or 80's and sometimes it's in the 90's for no reason. I was put on Augmentin on Saturday and was just wondering if any else has had this happen as a possible side-effect. Last night it was hard for me to get to sleep because I could feel my BP being high.

I just finished a 10 day course of that stuff (cat bite on July 4) but I didn't experience higher BP or higher HR. I know that I was sort of freaked out by the cat bite....and the whole bacteria thing...Could your higher BP and HR have something to do with anxiety?

I would second that with rachel. Are you anxious or tensed while checking your BP and HR. You BP and HR goes up in an instant if you are anxious. Its so called white coat syndrome. Try keeping a check if the BP n HR comes high only while you are anxious.
