Elena,

May God be with you every step of the way - you are going to be fine. Know that there are many on this board who will be praying for you and pulling for you - all of us have worn quite the trail over that mountain, so the path hopefully will be smooth. :)

Go with God.

Christina L.

Elena -- you'll be right across the Bay from me. (WAVING FRANTICALLY). Prayers, hugs, and all kinds of good thoughts. See ya later.

Marge

Elena,

I hope that you are peaceful and sleep well tonight. You will be in my prayers tomorrow.

Elena,

Take care. You know everyone here is thinking of you!!! Relax, all will be well!!

Heather

Elena,

Can you hear the echo in here? We're all thinking of you and praying for a safe trip to the other side of the mountain. We'll anxiously await word and can't wait to hear what you have to say about the experience.

Relax - be strong - be well.

Elena,

Good luck and Godspeed. Here's hoping your "epic" valve gives you an "epic" service life.

Best of luck, Elena! You won't be alone on your trek - we all go with you in spirit. May your mountain be a molehill and the truck miss you completely.

Be sure to have someone post for you. We'll miss you until you rejoin us.

You can't go without my thoughts and prayers going with you. See you on the other side,
Steve

Hi guys. thanks, your posts provoked a much needed cry!! Well, I'm home and it's over. I can't really say details right now because I'm too tired, but, unfortunately, the first few days were EXTREMELEY traumatic!! (just my luck!)
Let's just say the pain killers weren't working at all. But, I am here and can see that my recovery is going to be fast
I will write my story up in the Personal Stories section when I have the energy
Love to you all
-elena
ps. It felt SOOOO GOOOOD to take a shower!

Hi Elena-

So glad to hear that you're home, but I'm really sorry to hear that you had a rough time of it. It's all behind you now and all about healing.

We'll be waiting to hear the details when you're ready.

Hi Elena

Hi Elena

Now that you are home..Rest, nap and take pain meds..You will start feeling better..Bonnie

Elena,

So glad that you are on the mend although it was rough at first. I think it is rough for most everyone the few days right after surgery!!

The main thing I want to tell you is to REST-REST-REST but also get up and walk little bits at a time. I think many people try to overdo and that is not the way to go. Also breathe and drink lots of fluids and try to eat as much as possible - healing foods.

May your recovery continue to be swift and uneventful!!

God bless -
Christina L.

Elena ... sorry for the pain & trauma, but glad for you that it is over & you are HOME. Hope you are getting lots of rest and will be feeling much better soon.
