I know this is a silly question... but are people with mechanical valves more likely to die from electric shocks? I'm not talking about the shocks that will kill most...but... I don't know, smaller shocks?

Yah........... what about tasers used on us valvers?
That wouldn't be pretty I wouldn't think.

That could be an interesting and important question for farmers and ranchers, who often use electrified fencing to keep livestock contained.

I've had quite bad shocks when I visited family in India (prior to surgery!). They have these huge fans in a box which you poor water into (!!!) so that when the fan turns it flicks drops of water out.... I know, it sounds so safe right?! Everytime I went near that thing as a kid I would get a big shock. I didn't even have to touch it. I'm going off track now...but yeah, shocks like that and tazers...I wonder what would happen. I mean....wouldn't the valve conduct the electricity better? But I'm no Doctor lol. And it's good to know Dick has been okay after numerous shocks!

Ajay, it sounds like a rustic kind of humidifier system....it probably works just fine if nobody touches it. ;)
I would hate to see what a Tazer would do to somebody with a defib or pacemaker....
