Jacqui, Just wondering if you decided to go into the hospital. If so, I hope everything goes well and you come out feeling better than you have in a long time.

Kim

I hope you did go in Jacqui.

I thought last night that we should have asked you to get Sarah or Thomas to update us.
Hope you're doing okay.

Well, got myself pretty well ready emotionally, but the lady rang and said the bed had been taken by an emergency admission. Would have been a good day to go in as my heart has been acting up a lot, and I was thinking, ''Iv had it with this''. 8(

She will ring today or tomorrow (or whenever) there is a bed available.

Thanks for your kind thoughts. 8)

Jacqui, Think about it as a chance to receive more positive thoughts and prayers!!:)

Good luck, hoping you do not have to wait longer than tomorrow.

Hi Jacqui,

Well, its friday and I havent heard from the hospital. Its so annoying because this is a bank holiday weekend here so definitely wont hear from them until next week. Unfortunately next wednesday Thomas starts his ''leaving certificate'' examinations, so I absolutely have to be home and ''WELL'' or at least give the appearance of being well. These exams are very important as the results determines which course he can do in college. Iv had a bad week, and an especially bad couple of days, with chest pain (tightness radiating up into my neck) several times a day, from the slightest exertion. It is relieved by using nitro spray. Have to sit still for at least an hour for the weakness etc to pass. Even sitting still, I have an uncomfortable/pain feeling in my chest, with the feeling that I keep needing to take a deep breath or yawn to get enough oxygen, 24/7.

I woke up 2nights ago with chest pressure and a feeling as though someone were squeezing my heart with their hand. Horrible feeling.

I had an angiogram (cath) done in march 07, and they said my arteries were ok. Can MVP cause this type of chest pain ??? Any ideas ????

Jacqui, Is there any way you can call the lady at the hospital who called you earlier this week and ask her what is going on? I know that just sitting there waiting on someone to call you can drive you crazy. I'm sorry you are feeling so unwell. That should give you more incentive to try this drug so that you can feel better and be there for your children like you want to be.

To quote my GP four years ago when I was waiting for the date for my OHS and said that I either needed it asap or else not until August as my daughter was getting married and I didn't want to miss that. His response was "I am sure she would rather you missed her wedding than die". As it happened I had the surgery two weeks before the wedding, was discharged then taken ill so rushed into hospital the day before the wedding so missed the wedding anyway.

I am sorry but if they give you a date then you need to take it, Thomas will manage without you for a few days if it means you will be feeling much better afterwards. You have put things off before and they are not going to take you seriously if you do this again. You cannot complain about them messing you about if you are messing them about.

*Thank you Kim and Sue.

*Is it possible that the MVP (moderate regurg) or the arrhythmia is causing this chest pain. Its just that its seem so like angina type pain !!!!!

Jacqui, None of us can really tell you what is causing your chest pain. It possibly could be your heart, but also could be reflux or even anxiety. You can only know for sure if you go to the Dr.

Kim

I agree with Sue and Kim - I think you just need to get in there and get this sorted.
Thomas will manage, and in fact, probably be delighted if/when you come out of hospital feeling better because this medication has worked.

Hi Jacqui,
Just been reading your threads so sorry to hear of your problems, hope you get sorted sooner rather than later.
You take care, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
Jane

Jacqui, I want to add my support, we all want you to get better. Nothing is for certain and doubt and fear encroach. Excellent responses and encouragement from kfay and sue943. I hope this treatment goes well and brings you relief, I'll guess it can't come soon enough. Best wishes and keep us in the loop.
