I didn't click on the thread. computer is touchy.:D However, just wanted to say..I have no idea how you members that live in very cold climates...New England, Co. Rockies, ect. can handle the cold weather. Hubby just made a comment a few minutes ago about this winter...Like, today, sun is shining BUT wind is gusting cold..Cuts right thru me..Even with heavy coat and scarf...I'm not SOB..but..chilled to bone when I come back inside. Also, those that live in Oregon, Washington State. The rain? Had 4 days of cold rain....Tried to do my daily outside ride to P.O. grocery store, ect.same thing..chilled, when I got home. Of course, I am an older member.Age 65..and on coumadin......Both cardio and PCP annual visits last week..said everything was great.:) Winter's stink.:p Bonnie

Waiting for baseball weather

Waiting for baseball weather

Mary said:
I thought about this the other night when our temperatures dropped down into the 20's. I went for an after dinner walk and had to remind myself to walk a little slower and not quite as far. I didn't go through valve replacement just to let winter weather get me!

Mary, I had the same experience when walking my dog on a bitterly cold day here in the mountains -- a sensation of being a little hard to catch my breath, a sensation that I don't usually have. So when when I saw the WebMD article, I thought it was worth posting.

My faithful dog is just going to have to wait til spring for the longer walks. :)

And Mary you and I will be happier when they throw out the first pitch for our St, Louis Cardinals' new season and we get some baseball weather to go with that. :D

Not just humans

Not just humans

I was worried that my Papillon had not come out of bedroom for his evening walk. He can tell time..:D Found him in bedroom..Brought him out and fed him..Now just laying on floor.Normally, he would be at my computer begging to go for a walk...but, with the wind howling and cold. NO way... don't blame him..:p Hubby walked him at 4 P.M..will just take him out for a short pee before bedtime:D Bonnie

Great article there !

In sunny Perth Australia when it is under 20 degrees Celcius about 70 F. I am cold and frequently get freezing hands and fingers.
Even the hottest days in Summer a nice warm 90-100 F:rolleyes: are barely warm enough for me.
