I have pulmonary hypertension and my pulmonologist advised me to have
a trans echo every six months to moniter the tri-cuspid regurgitation to
keep ahead of the PH. I am on Medicare and I'm not sure they'll cover
echos done that often. Has anyone else had them done every six months
to moniter PH?

Yes and so long as they are physician ordered, Medicare should cover them too! Are you on traditional medicare or one of the HMO plans?

Tests—X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, EKGs, and some other diagnostic tests if
medically necessary.

:) I'd just like to say "thanks" to all who replied so quickly to my post.

I just started a thread today about PH and my cardiologist did an echo this June and has me scheduled for another in October. I saw him this week and he plans to do an echo every 3 months depending upon results/how I feel etc.

Ross,
I have traditional medicare; I also had a medigap coverage, but due
to the high premiums, I dropped that one. What are you going to do?

I honestly think it's a plot to liquidate us from the system. It's a conspiracy I tell you. :)
