i have some questions about my 2 week post op echo results and my up and coming 3 month post op echo...
1) 2 week LVEF was noted at 52%. i hear its on the low end of normal and i have trace regurgitation. can anyone share their early post op values?
2) with my 3 month post op echo around the corner, i wonder if there is a chance my LVEF has improved as my heart springs back from surgery. has anyone found this to be true?
3) i've read a lot of stories that this degrades and that there are med, vitamins, exercise regimens that can improve the LVEF but i don't see much in people posting about it improving. does LVEF fluctuate like BP and pulse rates or is this usually a pretty stable number?
i'm still trying to get my pre op values to do a comparison but would appreciate the input!
