I'm not sure how many of you are aware of Google Scholar search engine. It basically searches though academic or research papers and makes searches for the relevant stuff much easier.

Thanks for the post Alan. It is a very interesting study and I will investigate using Google Scholar instead of just Google in the future.

It's an interesting study, showing gradual improvement in the valve type.

Of course, "current" is a relative term in this field, and some of the valves being reviewed are no longer actually the "current" models, but the 15+ years old versions.

That's a frustrating part of research for valves, as there is so much change. We're always looking at what the last generation of products did. Nonetheless, that's a good thing, inthat it means progress continues.
