Bonnie, what was that about Hussein shipping dismantled drones here? I was just catching up on posts and that jumped out and hit me between the eyes...when were they talking about this? Thanks.

I watched it last night. It said it was possible, not that it was a done deal. The news also said he (Saddam) had put a lot of emphasis on developing these things, and that some of them could go as far as 300 miles. They are a radio controlled thing. But other people have said that getting them to work is not that easy.

Interesting...my husband and a friend had developed an engine dyno for a firm that was making military drones for the Army several years ago. I have read about them being used in Afghanistan for reconnaissance and more recently for remote fired missles. Guess if we can do it , they can too. Just missed that report somehow. The radio control hobbyists might just have some machines shot down this spring and summer. I would feel nervous if I saw something flying over our farm looking suspicious. I have already complained about a red and white plane buzzing the fields since 9-11. The local airport says it is an intructor doing manuvers with his students...I told them not over my land or I would sue for damages if any on my sheep are hurt as they do flee when it flies so low and it is very loud. Geesh! I sound like an old crank, but they haven't been using our land...I noticed them across the highway over unoccupied land last year.

Hi Jean

Hi Jean

Fox news had a lady newscaster interviewing 2 men about an hour ago. One man said that the drones could be purchased off the shelf in Hobby Shops. Another man said they could carry up to 50 lbs...but the weather would have to be correct for the vapors to do any damage..but he said, just killing one American would be enough to send us all into another panic...Also mentioned, football fields with large crowds. ect. Glad I stay in to watch sports.:D :D Bonnie

P.S. We use to have Ultra-lites flying over our horse farm. Scared the horses to death..Me. too, to be outside and hear this loud noise and look up and see a pair of legs over your head.  bonnie

Yes, my brother was saying it has to be over 50 for the vapors to do any damage. Southern states, be careful! I like to go outside, but I want to feel safe as well. My mom keeps asking me why I wouldn't want to stay living on base. The thing she doesn't understand is, normal people don't have to have an ID to get to their house, now if I forget it, I can't get home. I have had the gaurds inspect my vehicle, and I feel that is totall y invading my personal property, and last night they were just rude to me about it. More like 1:30 AM, and I was coming home from the ER. Just upset me, and I would like to live somewhere that I don't have to worry about whether or not I forgot my ID or not. It might be safe in that aspect, but what are they going to do for us in the event of an air raid? Nothing.

Why were you coming from ER. Nothing serious, I hope. I also live in a gated community..but we have stickers on windshield. Guards are less than a foot away to open gate. We always wave.. We love it because we can travel and not be worried about being robbed. You have to be born in here to get in here.:D :D :D Very strict.:D Speaking of vapors, my dad lives on the Alabama River. Paper Mill up above him several miles. When it is foggy, stink comes down with fog rolling on the river. Ugg.  Bonnie

Hi Bonnie, I have a high INR, and I started my "womanly cycle" about a month ago, and it didn't really stop, and well, Sunday night I was going through one pad an hour, and then it got REALLY heavy, and I was going through one every 1/2 hour, and that's never happened to me. I am going to the UW to get it checked out, but the Doc at the ER couldn't really do much for me. You're on coumadin, what do you suggest? I would rather not have to worry about my ID, though, I have a sticker on my windsheild too, I gues they were just rude to me yesterday, and that upset me.

hysterectomy

Well that really sucks..... It won't let me just post in the 'subject' line. Tells me I gotta send you a message. lol Well the message is... 'Hysterectomy'

I had one when Sara was one year old, due to cervical cancer. I never regretted it for even a half a second.

Joy, I feel for you. Have had that issue going on for almost four years now. My doctors suggested I have it taken care of. decided unless I have a real reason other than the heavy bleeding, 'which is enough of a reason' if you ask me. Going to leave it alone. Too affraid of post op bleeding and infection. They told me it would warrant a 10-14 day hospital stay because of the Coumadin regulation. No more Lovenox injections at home. Honestly don't have the time to mess around with that right now.
