Downloading

For the past few months, every time I download something here my computer freezes! I just gave up Any ideas?

That's strange. The same thing happened to me. I was thinking it was the fault of my computer, but maybe it's the fault of VR.COM!!!

if what you're doing is clicking on a thumbnail for the 'big picture,'
then a blackish screen appears with a little swirly icon in the
center of a box, with image number on the bottom.

then just click on the center of the swirlie, and the picture
will immediately appear in a new tab (at least with firefox).
otherwise, the swirl will never end.

That's strange. My computer has been freezing up on me too. I cleaned up the files, deleate files, etc. and it seems to be better but just while ago it froze up on me while I was working on a file in Word Perfect. I couldn't even Alt/Delete to get out. I had to turn it completely off and rename my file. Stupid computer. This is also the first time I have been able to get online for two days and of course with it being a holiday I couldn't reach my internet/server people. But it did come back up a few minutes ago.

I can look at things on thumbnails, it freezes if I try to download something someone sent like from you tube or an article. My computer will not respond with alt/delete either. I just have to shut it down and re-boot. If I try again, same story. It gets very disgusting. I do not know why. We have all the anti-virus and spy sweeper and a firewall..........
