3 weeks ago, I bought every OTC meds for a runny nose, hacking cough, sore throat, ect... nothing was helping..Finally went to a doctor the day before I was to leave to go visit my age 90 year old Daddy...Didn't want to disappoint him and didn't want to give him my crud  ..so she gave me a cough med with a narcotic..1 small teaspoon at night, antibodic (Cefuroxime) 20 to finish all...Guaifenex for cough and congestion as needed. and throw in all the stress last week with my S/I/L in hospital.......... ....... so, I decided to hometest today for my INR....Dreading what it would be......3.3... :D :D :D :D Right in range for me... I had tested at 3.3 3 weeks ago.. :) Never moved... :) :) I'm posting the names of the meds in case some of you come down with what I had..saying What I had..All gone now. :) My only complaint now is a sore lower back from taking care of my age 2 and 3 year old Grandkids for 6 days. Lifting, carseats, ect.. :D Bonnie

Bonnie:

Thanks for your post. I've got the same thing and am going to my PCP's nurse practitioner (PCP is booked to the gills today) in 4 hours. I'm concerned that I could be getting bronchitis and I must fly to Philadelphia on Thursday for a convention.
Will photocopy your post & take it w/ me. The nurse practitioner once worked as a cardiac nurse. :)

Granbonny,
You never know what an antibotic will react to the INR levels till you get protime done. I never know with mine. I recently, a couple of months ago had an bactrial infection, which was treated and it lowered my INR. Had to test three times, normal reading. I feel for anyone on antibotics in any length of time. Trickie world.
