Dolly in Kilkenny.......

Dolly Parton is singing in an open air concert here in Kilkenny this evening. The weather here is wet and windy... 8-O

I didnt get to go see her....cost etc !!

I went down town a few hours before the concert was due to start, and there were THOUSANDS of Dolly fans making their way to the concert. The women had lovely 'dolly' dresses with .....wait for it......cowboy boots and ten gallon hats.....its was so funny. Others had pink flowery WELLIES. I wish I had my camera. Guess they were prepared for the 'muck'. The concert was held in a sports ground where only Gaelic football and hurling are played, so the pitch is pretty rough.

But the sun came out and the wind died down, so I hear everyone had a wonderful time.

* Kilkenny is a small town so I sat on my back door step and listened to her. It was a bit distant but nice to hear her.
