This is a dog that was abandoned at a jungle resort in Brazil. Steph & Joe adopted him and brought him back to the states after their assignment in Rio. We have always wondered what breed he is-mix or whatever. It occurred to me this morning that some of you might know. He is a nice looking dog, in my opinion.

He stands about 18 inches high at the shoulders. He is slightly built, extremely fast, and can cut a corner like one of our border collies. His fur is medium to long in length.

Sorry for not providing a picture of the whole dog. When I took this picture I was looking for an artistic effect.

Well, he's gorgeous, as is your photo with the matching out of focus gravel in the background. Nice photo!

I'm not that good with breeds, but I'm sure someone here will know. Acts like a collie, but does not have the snout. Resembles a spaniel. What's his name? He is certainly a keeper! Glad they rescued him.

That's the best looking Mutt I have ever seen :)

The first thing that came to mind from your description Dennis and the pictures was there some Brittney Spaniel in this pup along with some Border Collie.

Sebastian could have a very long line of breeds within breeds in him, but he's definitely gorgeous and the perfect height.

I don't know breeds that well but he looks a bit golden retriever and border collie to me. I love fur babies.!:D

You can have him DNA tested. Our friends just gave DNA dog testing as a gift to their daughter for her little mutt. They thought it would be fun. I know it was less than $100 to get it done. The results were interesting. The main ones we had guessed - beagle and lab, but there were some other interesting blood links. I'll ask her where they got it done.

I'm with Louise, I think there's some Golden in there. It's funny to me, but he looks like a Beagle/Golden Retriever mix, but I can see all of the other aforementioned possibilities also. The most important thing, of course, is that he has a wonderful family and is certainly a handsome pooch.

Pointer, spaniel mix! Beautiful dog and good for you for getting him and giving him a loving home!!!! We need more people like you!
