I feel sorry for that child if they plan to have anymore children. Version 3.0 etc. because aren't the newer versions supposed to be better ones? He'll always have an inferiority complex.
Heh, I think it's pretty freekin' funny. The only problem I have with the name is the "Jon Blake" part, I really think it should have been "Version" instead.
Personally I want to name my kids "Fluffy" or "Patches". I think when you have a name like that, you have to show up the name and therefore try harder.
When my son was born, we added II after his name. The hospital staff argued with me that it should be Jr, but I argued right back that it was going to be II. And it is.
This is the age of weird names and the dropping of traditional ones. Just look at all the kids around you - non-traditional names and non-traditional spelling.
Well, look at the brighter side -- the kid will have a great line for the girls. "In software they always tell us to avoid release 1.0 at all cost, but 2.0 is fine."
There are so many ways that comparing a child to computer software is a bad thing that it boggles my mind to even think about them.
I found the quote "Besides, I had picked out the theme of the baby's room." particularly disturbing. That means he named his child based on the room decorations (which I shudder to imagine).
One has to wonder whether Jon Blake Cusack 2.0 will change his name once he turns eighteen.
