From time to time I get a sensation of tightening behind my sternum, just where my valves are situated. It isn't uncomfortable, it is more like a little twitch. It only lasts a second, like a small painless contraction. This is not a daily occurance, it could happen several times then none for a while, days or even weeks.

Is it just me or does anyone else get something similar?

I do. They are like a twitch, or a pinch. They happened mostly before surgery, but I am beginning to notice them now, again. It occurs, and only one twitch .... then before you have a chance to register on it or try to figure it out, it's gone. I don't like them..felt like something constricting. But since it doesn't really hurt, last long, or happen much or with any reason.....I've been tryiing not to think about it!

Anyone else?

:) Marguerite

That sounds like it. It would mostly be when I am in bed but not always. You wait for it to happen again and it might not, so not quite like a nervous twitch which would repeat over and over.

If I remember I will mention it to the cardiologist next time I see him, but I expect that I will forget. :)
