Had a great traithon yestersday. It was at Eastman Lake, New Hampshire - near Dartmouth College, It was 1/3 mile lake swin, 12 miles bike race (in pouring rain) and 3.1 mile cross country run. My time was 1:50:03 That's 17 minutes faster than the same race July last year (3 months after surgery).

Although I am little stiff today I feel great and didn't have any arrythmia.

Spoke to my surgeon a few days before the race and he encouraged me to keep up with my active lifestyle.

Congratulations on your performance improvement - in fact, just for finishing. That's a tough course for anyone.

Very glad to hear that your rhythm stayed in bounds, and didn't cause you to miss this event.

You continue to inspire, James.

Congratulations, James! Welcome to the "tri" club.
Looking to do my next one in August.

congratulations!

congratulations!

Well done James

I've just started back swimming 4 months post-op and met up with my old tri-squad at the pool (they all looked young and fit!) maybe one day I'll have another crack at one - though not an Ironman!

Kind regards

Grant

Aw, c'mon, Grant! Don't count yourself out just yet! You've done it before, you just need a a little reconditioning!

recondition or reconstitution...

recondition or reconstitution...

The thought of running a marathon at the end of a swim and 112 mile ride when one gets puffed jogging 100 yards is quite mind-blowing (or even valve-popping!)

Regards

Grant
