So my dad has been taking Coumadin every night at 8pm so last night the clock was set back an hour, should he keep taking by the new clock time or old?

Thanks Jasmin

New time is fine. You really don't need to be that precise with your dosage time. I take mine when I go to bed. That's anywhere from 10 - midnight.

Re: Coumadin

Re: Coumadin

I take my Coumadin first thing in the morning when I get to the kitchen. It's easier for me to remember.
Right out of the hospital I took it at 4PM, because that's what was done there. But when I started feeling better and was out and about I would forget to take it so I changed it to 6PM, thinking it would maybe be easier to remember. Wrong!!!
Then my friend Joanie (VR.com's Cleojoan) told me what time she takes hers and I've been doing that for several years now and it works for me.
I have forgotten or been too late taking the Coumadin several times over the years since surgery but it has always worked out. I think it really doesn't matter when you take it.
I've also been a hometester for almost 5 years now. Don't go to labs.
Haven't seen my PCP in over one year.
Thought this might help.

I forgot to take my coumadin last night. I couldn't get to the chat session, so no one reminded me to take it. So I took it this morning. I highly doubt I'll have any problems from that.
