Hi All,

Got home last nite, so, of course, I pushed myself in the in the morning and paying the concequences now. I knew my Mom would provide a good barometer for me... she told me I was not allowed to take a wwalk this evening.

Visiting nurse came by and said all was good except my heart rate was too high and thought it may have been becuse I was not taking enough pain killers. So, I increased them and we wi;; see Thurs.

For the actual surgery, Dr. B. "tightened" up the aorta (minor repair) and put in a 29mm bovine pericardial valve. His said that since I did not not need to go with any root ressection, he thought the bovine would give the longest life for tissue valves, combined with any relatievly easy replacement for the surgeon 15-20 years down the line.

See ya'll later

Welcome home David!

Good to hear that progress is being made. You'll be tired and not feeling well for a little while yet. Try to baby yourself during this period, because before you know it, people will want you to get back to routine things.

Pushing too hard will make your body rebound and get even with you, as I guess you've found out. Healing is still taking place, but you're doing well. Little by little.
