dear friend, i want to take time to say thank you to all of you who wrote to me and gave me good information and words of love and compassion and encouragement.my surgery date is set for July 30, and i will be the first one operated on that morning.
i am faced with the fact that this surgery is necessary and has to be done now or i take the chance of loosing my life in the next few months . that could happen even on the operating table, but i have made my peace with god and have re-entered going to church each Sunday and trying to pay my tithes. finances for me are critical. im on disability and doctors office calls and medications are so high.
my wife and i now spend as much time together and cherish each minute of holding hands, talking, praying, and enjoying gods creations. each sunset we witness is a reminder to us that each one of us is loved by god and he gave us such beauty to behold in his world. so is our time limited to live.
we have so many friends from mended hearts who have called us and e-mailed us too and we truly thank god for their support and friendship that we have gained. my wife and i both feel encouragement from them and calmness in light of the coming surgery. she realizes she could become a widow that day or shortly after but knows her husband would be in heaven getting ready for her arrival some day. we have been married 30 years and dated 2 years before that. true love at first sight for me. shes still so beautiful to me. we celebrated our anniversary with a renewal of vows in the church and a full wedding ceremony. december 9th, the auditorium was decorated with christmas attire and it was fantastic. the surgeons name is baron hamman, he has 20 years of experience in heart surgery and knows all the new techniques including the inavasive surgery. i have asked him to do this procedure on me which involves 2 cuts on the chest and a partial opening of the chest bone up high. i also told him if he felt he needed to do it the old fashion way and cut my chest open, just do it. he likes the full openess of doing it that way. im having the surgery done at baylor jack and jane hamilton heart hospital in dallas texas the address is 621 north hall street dallas texas 75226,phone is 214-820-0600. im told ill be in the hospital 5-6 days if all is well. when im moved to a room, and if im well and able, i welcome your calls to the room, my wife will be there and if im not able to talk she could use with the uplifting of your calls. if your mended hearts in or around dallas, stop in, love to see and chat with you. Baylor Heart Hospital
im asking all of you to please mark your calendars on that day to remember to be in prayer for me and my family. please pass it on to all your friends and family and churches. we need a lot of prayer and god will greatly bless you and us. i gain strength in the bible chapter the 23rd psalms. yeah though i walk through the valley of death, he is with me always.
god bless you all and thank you so much....... . DAN&TAMMY
