Holly, one of my nieces, lives in St. Louis. Her sister-in-law had been having problems with her pregnancy and had been ordered to bed in November (baby was due in February). OB-GYN had to do a cerclage to prevent a premature deliver. He undid the cerclage 1/14.
Dad delivered the baby at home about 12:30 a.m. today (1/15). A paramedic or EMT gave him instructions by phone. Baby & mom were whisked off to the hospital in an ambulance.
Baby daughter, mom and dad are doing fine. I haven't received photos yet, but I'm sure I will. My nephew-in-law has a HUGE extended family and since Holly has no siblings, they're surrogate sisters, brothers, cousins, etc., for her.
I wonder if Dad can bill insurance for a delivery charge??
