in 2010, I had my Ascending Aorta relaced (along with a new mechanical Aortic Valve) with a Hemashield Dacron/Kevlar graft, from the valve to the junction of the 3 arteries. In 2021, I had a redo due to an Endocarditis infection and aortic root abscess. According to the surgeon when they opened me up, the full Dacron/Kevlar Hemashield graft was fine and they only had to work at the bottom of it replacing the valve. My new surgeon told me it would last the rest of my life although they would need to again replace my new tissue valve in about 12-15 years. Best Wishes...
