D & C and the Coumadin User

My sister just had a D & C (dilitation and curetage) and it got me thinking (since we have similar issues) about what protocol is for the Coumadin user. I tried doing a search here and on Google and could find anything specific. Does anyone know what the protocol is?

Sounds like a situation where bridging with heparin would be in order. Hopefully you won't have to face the question for some time, if any. Your GYN may consider a thermal ablation as it's essentially self-cauterizing.

I had a D & C without bridging therapy, although they did have me hold my Coumadin and used Vit K to bring my INR to 1.8. I started back on Coumadin immediately after the procedure, so it was just one missed dose.
