This is CP's daughter posting for him. Everything is going good. They began his surgery at 10:15 am (our time) and it is now 1:05. They are working on him through his side and keep the prayers going that they will not have to make the incision in his chest. They are trying to FIX his valve instead of using the mechanical valve, last we heard. I am sorry for all of you who are going through this, but I think today is harder for the family than for him because once they got his morphine drip going this morning I think he didnt care about anything and now he is dreamin about work...I am sure. lol. ALL NEW INFORMATION I WILL POST IN THE "POST-SURGERY" FORUM. Thank you to all of you who has given him insight and what to expect, etc. and just a place to talk to people who are going through this too. You all are in his and our family's prayers!!! :)

Thanks for taking the time to update. Our prayers and best wishes will remain will you and your family until he is over the mountain and on the way to an uneventful recovery.

I know what you mean about it being hard on the family.Glad things are going well, wishing him a continude good surgery and a speedy recovery.

How thoughtful of you to post. Happy to hear that things seem to be going well. Hopefully, he is close to out of surgery and has a great, uneventful recovery. I'll look for updates if you have the opportunity to post. He's lucky to have you. :)

Thank you for the update. It's very nice to have people to talk too. We all have been there. ;)
