Coumadin's Side Effects

I was wondering if anyone has ever experienced hair loss while tkaing coumadin? My hair dresser mentioned it to me, and I'm noticing it more and more. She thought it might have been the anesthesia but my surgery was 2 months ago and I just read something online about hair loss being a side effect? Help please

Well, I never have been told that but maybe that explains why Noel is practically bald and come to think of it, he has lost most of it since being put on Coumadin in 2002.

Not in the 15 years I've been on it. However, now that I'm approaching "that age of change"

my hair is getting a bit thinner.

And here I thought it was raising teenagers that made me lose mine!

It sounds like it may or may not be permanent. I hope that it's just an "adjustment period" for you.

i DO KNOW PEOPLE WHO AFTER SURGERY DID LOSE THEIR HAIR. ? CALL IT STRESS FROM HAVING SURGERY,ETC. OR SIDE EFFECT OF ALL THE MEDS. WHATEVER. INCREASE YOUR NUTRITION,DECREASE ON SUGARS,ETC. AND YOUR HAIR SHOULD GRADUALLY GROW BACK IS MY THINKING.
