As it looks like we're entering a hot humid summer here - I was wondering if it's OK to store my coumadin tablets in the refrigerator at about 40 degrees Fahrenheit?

Jim:

Bristol-Myers Squibb's leaflet says to store at CONTROLLED room temp at 59-86 F (15-30 C).
Would think refrigerator would have too much moisture and certainly be too cool. You'd have crumbling tabs...

That's exactly what I was thinking, but I couldn't find my insert and too lazy to go look at the website.

I've been contacted by people who ruined their warfarin by keeping it in the refrigerator in humid climates. Every time the bottle is opened moisture gets in and affects the tablets.
