coumadin and uterin fibroids

hi, I have a question for the ladies.. after several years of believing my heaving periods (and spotting while on the pill) were from being on coumadin while in my 30's.. we finally confirmed I have a fibroid. so my ob switched me from Seasonale (which I was still spotting off and on) to the Depo shot.. 2 months on it and i've gained around 8+lbs and now i noticed my BP is on the rise again.. (already take 2 pills for it) - I heard of a procedure which just removes the fibroid, has anyone had that done? my dr is apparently afraid to touch me due to the coumadin issues.. in january i'm thinking of seeing another OB in a more metro area to inquire about this.. other drs just want me to have a hysterectomy and be done with it. any thoughts would be appreciated.. thanks

Are they inside the uterus, or outside, or within the uterin wall? I have a few small ones w/in the uterine wall, but my gyne said they aren't a big deal and shouldn't be contributing to the bleeding.

Do you have a lot of pain and cramping?

If it were me, I would explore all options before considering a hysterectomy. Not that I'm so emotionally attached to my uterus , I just know some women who have had them and regret it due to problems after.
