Does anyone have experience taking both at the same time for an extended period.
Herb, Plavix works by making platelets less "sticky". It is an artery thing. Most physicians hesitate to prescribe it along with warfarin which works to stop venous and mechanical valve thrombosis since it increases the chance of bleeding. If you have a history of artery thromboembolism and/or coronary artery disease you may have to take it. I would only add it to your warfarin after consulting a hematologist or other internist well versed in ACT.Does anyone have experience taking both at the same time for an extended period.
