Two points. In talking with people with BAV and aneurysms and the like I seem to see more people than I would expect with arthritis. One friend had a stroke at 51, she had arthritis. Maybe there is some connection between heart issues and arthritis isssues, I do not know, but I wonder.

Secondly, I have talked online to a few folks that have claimed that they were able to at least improve their arthritis by watching their diet. One book that keeps coming up is "A Doctor's Proven New Home Cure for Arthritis", written by a DO in the 1970's. I have no clue whether that works or not, but I pass it on for information.

I am age 71 and have been on Coumadin/warfarin for almost 40 years. I do believe that I have some arthritus due to age but I don't think that coumadin has played any part in my arthritic condition. I control my arthritus by staying active walking, YMCA weight program, golf, etc. I do have a degenerative disc problem that is also helped by the YMCA program along with 4 500mg "tylenol" per day.

I have Spondylitis (arthritis of the spine) . I had been taking NSAIDS for 2 years before my OHS. I thought the pain was worse after OHS but then realised I wasnt on the NSAIDS anymore. I now take Tramadol SR. I dont get the same relief I used to. Hydrotherapy in a nicely warmed-up pool with a Physio. has been useful in easing the back-pain. I keep thinking I should try Glucosamine as others have found it helpful.
