Ok, so still eating like a saint but not really exercising.

My missus caved and bought a new set of scales.....wish she hadn't bothered now....i'm 122 kilos this morning, up from 120 on the old scales

Thats 269 pounds in US speak.

So i think i've just stayed flat constant from december through to now, not gaining or losing anything at all.

This is a surprise considering my diet prior to joining and my diet now....previously in life i've dieted and the weight has just fell off but now its not budging....can i blame it on the drugs :D i don't think so.

I guess i'm just going to have to keep on going and start to exercise....

Hope everyone else manages a loss.

MB...not gaining is also a victory...maintaining can be a challenge...Hang in there it will happen!!!

Good morning Losers:D ...I hope everyone has a good day and a great weekend...I walked everyday this week (Mon.- Fri.)....this is a true miracle:eek:.....I am hoping that walking will be the key to more consistent weight loss for me....I know I should have been doing ever since my AVR but like I have said bebore....I really don't like to exercise.....I am hoping I will learn to love it or at least embrace it's value as a lifestyle.

Starting weight........233
Last Week...................206
This week....................204
Weekly Change............-2:)
Total Loss......................29
Exercise..........walked 30 minutes 5 days straight:D

I'm down .5 lb from last Friday but still fighting off last week's gain. This past month has been a roller-coaster for me. Up one week, down the next, up again, down again. The general trend is still downward but only a fraction of a pound for the month.

I'm the same as last week's weigh in (I "found" those two pounds I thought I'd lost on Sunday :( ). But I did get a compliment just a few minutes ago... My assistant principal just saw me in the hall and asked me if I've been losing weight. Had to tell her, not lately, but thanks! ;)

I have a feeling I'll be doing great on not over eating this weekend, but horrible on the exercise. I think I'm getting sick. Everyone here at the school is sick and I was SO hoping to avoid it, but looks like I won't be so lucky. My aide was out Wed. and Thurs. and I think I may have gotten it from using her computer those two days (someone still has to do her job!). It's only 8:45 in the morning and I have 7.5 hours to go before I can go home. But all I want to do is go to sleep! Ugh! Hopefully I'll make it through the day. But if it comes down to it I can just cancel my classes for today. I'm sure they'll understand.

I did the maintain thing this week also. But, I will take that. I cancelled my lunch plans and will eat lean cuisine lunch at my desk. Hubby and I are going to Italian Oven for dinner. I know carbs and wine and that delicious bread and olive oil.

Starting Weight-129
Last week-127
This week-127
This week loss-0
Total Loss-2

SUPERBOB is pleased to report that he has lost those four pounds he had gained Monday from the SUPER SUNDAY chili and chips and chocolate cake fest, plus one additional pound.

Net change for the week: minus 1 pound.

SUPERBOB believes he is poised to make more progress. :) Up, Up and away....Uh, he means down, down, and away. :D

Niki and Sue?..staying the same is a victory!!! You can say what you want but many weeks I will take ?no change??

SuperBob??great job?.I am sure you are destined to go lower and lower:D

Jack?.those half pounds add up?great job!!!

   Gained a lb....I had bought 1 small serivng size of Saltine crackers..to go with my lunch soup....and some peanut butter. Boy, that is addicting..Other than that..same walking/ect... .....I had my Granddaughter yesterday shopping.. at Wal-mart..they have their bathing suits out now. Hope that will inspire me to do something more to lose weight before the summer.:p Bonnie

We are doing The Biggest Loser at work, so I'll join in to this as well. One more way to motivate myself. We started last Friday and I was at 150. I'm down 2 to 148 now. I went to my great uncle's funeral last weekend and had "funeral food" so probably gained some, but watched my diet the rest of the week. Having a stomach ache Tuesday evening and skipping dinner probably helped as well.

Great to have you with us, Lisa. Congrats on the 2-pound loss! I, too, find it motivating to be accountable here. I think after my Super Bowl binge, I would have just kept munching the chips, etc., and kept gaining had not I known I would have to weigh in here Friday. :)

Thought I would stop in and provide my bimonthly update.

I am still at 211. Of course that is partly due to how lazy I have been. The only trail rides I have been doing have been with the wife and kids, so that is only about one or two trail rides a week at an easy pace. I spin on the trainer every day for an hour or two and of course I have been taking the kids hiking just about every weekend.

Sunday we went to Brasstown Bald and Ana Ruby falls, lots of fun but the hikes were very short, only about 2 miles all together. Then we stopped in Helen on the way home at the candy shop and picked up 1.5 pounds of fudge (Where's the thingy that licks his lips?).

I was supposed to do a time trial series but DNF'ed the first one due to a broken wheel and then had a conflict for the third so scratched the second and took the kids out hiking for the day instead. I now have to prepare for my first six hour race of the season in March. Dropping the extra weight would probably help me ride faster.:p

Congratulations to all of those that have lost weight.

I just wanted to report in....we had a very nice time in Charleston SC celebrating our 25th anniversary!!! We both stuck with the broiled seafood and the miracle of it all we stayed away from the pralines:mad: :D :D ...The hotel was being renovated so the breakfast offered was fresh fruit:mad: :D :D ....God takes care of those of us who can't or won't take care of themselves:eek: :)

Anyway we stayed active...walking, shopping etc;) ...and I am actually down a pound this morning which puts me at a 30lb loss since we started...I have about 30 more to go but I know you guys will get me there:D

I really beat myself up yesterday. Went to a local running club race and there were 3 choices, 4, 10 & 20 miles. The 10 was a club Grand Prix event so I knew I could score a few points in my age group just by being there because this isn't one of the more popular events on the calendar. So I signed up for the 10 knowing full well I wasn't really up to it. I merely wanted to finish in a vertical position.

At 4 miles I made a novice mistake by running off the course. There was an orange cone where you were supposed to turn around, but I kept right on going past. By the time I realized what I'd done I was about a half mile across the campus. I returned and soldiered on but ended up in last place at 2 hrs 21 mins. That's a long time to be slogging along at any pace. I made it to about 9.7 miles before I had to start walking which isn't too bad. Had I run the prescribed 10 miles I might have made the full distance non-stop.

Boy was I sore! Spent most of the day glued to my LazyBoy and today I still have achy legs. The scales this morning showed a couple lbs of fluid bloat which happens whenever you overextend yourself. All day long I drank and drank and drank and very little came back out. The way to fix that of course is to drink more fluids. Once the damage is repaired the body will let go of the excess water.

Happy 25th anniversary to you and your wife. We missed this somehow. Glad you had a good time and still managed weight loss. That is great.

Sounds like you did great Jack!!!! You would have to call the coroner if I tried to run.....I have been walking and it is getting easier but I can't see myself as a runner...don't think my joints could take it......SO BE PROUD!!!!!

I've had a lot of practice both before and after OHS. I've done more miles and more races since my AVR than prior.

While I've done many 15K road races (9.3 miles), I haven't gone over 10 miles in a race since doing a half-marathon (13.1 mi) in January 1988. This was my longest race distance in 20 years and the longest race duration ever. But that's mostly a matter of being forced into a slower pace as I age.

Believe it or not, running distances beyond 10 miles does NOT help you lose weight. It makes you so friggin' hungry you'd eat your dirty sweat socks if they had any nutritional value.
