Here we go again!!! This weeks weigh in may have a few of us reporting up slight "upward" trend:eek: I have heard the murmurings of "losers" that have fallen under the influence of the Binge Monster:eek: But I also know that there will be those who post loses and in doing so help keep hope alive for us all.

As always I will post Friday morning. I expect that the scales will reveal the fruits of Fair Fare, KrispyKremes, Birthday Cake and a Snicker bar or two:eek: "Back on track" seems to be my theme as apposed to "staying on track"

YAY!....

I get to go first to post an official gain for this week...

+200grams , 0.2 kg or about a half pound...more than likely its boring fluid  ...now if only we had a Krispy-creme donut joint in the neighborhood....I could have put on a whole pound or three and really enjoyed earning the honour of being first to fess up:D

next please.....

The jury is in!!! I have been convicted of 1st Degree Binging with Malice of For Thought:eek: I have placed myself in protective custody:eek:

Starting weight........233
Last Week...................212
This week....................215
Weekly Change............+3:eek:

:eek:Ton.....I was expecting 5+ gain so I am pleased with only 3:) I had a week of indulgence, it was great!!!! Back on track, I hope.......Tom

I actually remembered to weigh today! :D Unfortunately, my downward trend is stalled a bit. But at least I don't have to report a gain... I don't think. Darn dial scale. If there has been a gain it's a fraction of a pound, not a whole one, so I'm not going to worry about it much. I did eat a lot of salty foods yesterday (Chick Fil A and hamburger/hot dog at a friend's house), so it's quite possible that extra weight is fluid. Maybe I'll weigh again on Monday... Except I'll be down in Houston with my mom and sister and I know every meal will be eaten out, so I'll probably gain more water weight... Oh, well. Snuggling with my nephew is worth it! :D

Starting Weight: 142
Last Week: 133
This week: 133
This week's loss: 0
Total loss: -9

I'm happy to report that I'm a loser again!

Starting Weight.....179
Last Week............165
This Week............163
Total Loss............-16

I'm so inspired by this weekly weigh-in and the knowledge that we're all in this together. Keep up the battle, people!

I can't help but wonder: Are our numbers dwindling? I count only 7 reports so far.

Granted, this is hard to keep going -- I appreciate all the help I have received here when I was on the verge of getting discouraged. I would like to lose another 5 or even 10 pounds by Christmas and have Santa bring me jeans a size smaller than I now wear. :) :) :)

Wow!! Is it Friday already? My weight is unchanged from last week. This week has flown by. We met my sister and Brother-in-law in the mountains last week-end and then drove back here to Pinehurst where the plan was to relax and enjoy ourselves for several days. Last Sunday my sister and I went down to the hotel's indoor pool so she could exercise and I could sit in the hot tub. She was sitting across from me and I had to get up and take a better look at her neck which had a rash. It was what is called a bull's eye rash because the configuration of it looks like a shooting target. She reported having been bit by something about a week prior. I told her to keep an eye out for flu-like symptoms since the rash was the kind seen in Lymes disease. Well in a few hours she was achy and by morning she had a fever and by Monday night she was sick sick and having shaking chills. We took her to the ER early yesterday morning and had a few tests and is now being treated for Lymes. They left for home (western Michigan) earlier today. I really haven't even thought of weight loss this week at all. We have other guests who are still here but they will leave Sunday afternoon and then I'll be back on track.

Betty..Hope your sister gets better soon..:) .I forgot to weigh this morning before I had breakfast...Wanted a ham/egg....omelete..No bread..Our rain stopped around noon..and I had to go shopping, ect..Daughter/Grands coming tomorrow for day in the Mountains...Will fight the huge crowd for them..I know they want to go to hansel/Gretel Candy shop....pumpkin hunting, ect....so I will post on Monday....I am sure it (weight) will be the same..Didn't get the walking in for the rain..but we were blessed to have the rain..:) ..Bob..I was wondering too..where are all the original dieters gone?Like I have said before. I am not going for a huge loss quickly..At my age. I don't need the pain that comes with too much exercise..:p Walking is just fine with me...Hope we don't have any dropouts because they are not losing..as much as some of our members..and may not want to post? Each of us (member) are built different..size, ect..Lifestyle......age, ect..on/on...:D I was realy hoping more would have joined us..7 weeks now and no new members.. I am proud of my 7 lb loss in 7 weeks..:) and keeping it off. because of a few life-changes I made..Too many dieters lose too quickly and put it right back on...My daughter is one......:( My hubby can eat anything and never gain weight..However, we got his lab work back..Everything was normal..except his glucose ..20 points over the limit...so he realizes now..No more cookies, ect..everynight with his cup of coffee before bedtime..:D ...Bonnie

It's usually my mouth that gets me. Ha!! Then it goes to my gut, not there.

My report is the same as last week. When we get below our original start weights, then I'll report again. Not giving up. No way Jose.

I don't know if I'm one of your 7, but being on the West Coast makes me later to report. I definitely am using you guys. This is very helpful to me.

I had my first bout of anything post surgery (and I'm 18 months out) (oh, and 'knock on wood" so I don't now catch every virus floating around out there) with a bladder infection this week. So I didn't exercise but once and slept alot and ate poorly. Are you ready?? I lost a pound anyway!!!!!!!!!!!! Total loss a paltry 4 pounds, but it's still going in the right direction. We're going away next week for a long weekend to visit our daughter in college. When I get back, I think I need to rev up something....either the exercise, or cutting back further the amount I eat. Would really love to lose 20 by the end of the year. Hm.

The one big change has been dinnertime. No more fancy sauces (I am kind of a Gourmet cook), no more flagrant butter usage and no more carbs. We eat a piece of meat broiled or pan grilled and then steamed or sauteed in a smidge of olive oil fresh vegetables. No dessert (okay, a hard candy) and no pre-dinner nibbles (who needs one when I've had my 4pm snack of an apple with a tsp. peanut butter) It is really making a difference.

BTW...PJ.....AWESOME!!!!!

Keep moving everyone!!!

:D Marguerite

I hope your sister is feeling better, Betty. For most of the last month our local grocery store has had an educational Lymes Disease display up and I know a local **** who has been plagued with health problems for years who was recently diagnosed with LD. It's definitely a good thing that your sister was able to be diagnosed on the basis of the initial infection and get treatment.

Thanks for the encouragement, Deb and Marguerite. A couple days ago I re-made an appointment with my GP that I missed in June. I had seen him in March for a check up and he told me I had gained 12 pounds since the previous check-up in September. At that time he told me he wanted to check my blood work again in three months and, basically, told me to lose weight. Well, come June I had made plans to go visit colleges in California with my daughter and that's where I was when I was supposed to go back to the doctor's. I felt badly for missing the appointment, but hadn't called (to apologize or reschedule) because I hadn't lost any weight (in fact, had probably gained). So, it felt good to finally make the appointment.

My daughter is actually the impetus for my weight loss and she's doing WAY better than I am. In fact, if she didn't need to lose so badly, I'd be worried about how fast she's losing. She's lost 23 pounds in seven weeks. (she's 5'8" and started at 185 and is down to 162) Weight Watchers is actually sending her emails telling her to use more points. I know she's eating three meals a day and lots of snacks (mostly 1-point snacks). We've both cut portions to WW size and we're not starving at all, but neither of us is using much of our weekly points. I'm keeping track kind of loosely because I'm not the official online member of WW, but my daughter is keeping track online and is eating the occasional hotdog or buttered popcorn at a football game or ice cream at DQ on the weekends in addition to her regular, careful weekly eating. She is choosing the 3-point small ice cream instead of the 12-point Blizzard. I just don't see any point to losing more slowly since she's not starving herself by any means. I guess I just don't think she'd be losing it so fast if she didn't have quite a bit to lose. Should I be worried? Why or why not?

PJ. I'm sure your daughter is very pleased with her progress. If you have serious concerns, why not ask YOUR doctor about it when you go in for your long overdue checkup? You always have to be worried about bulimia and anorexia with young women. If she has any friends who might have passed some tricks on to her...you might be wanting to keep a watchful eye on her right after meals, or making sure she isn't using diuretics, or worse. But I would say that if she has taken on a whole new lifestyle and seems to be sticking with it...don't poison her emotional efforts by being a suspicious mother. She could check in with her doctor since she is doing so well.....and let the doctor quiz her.

Keep up the great work!!

Marguerite

Yeah, Marguerite, I think I will run it by my doctor (who IS her doctor) just for the heck of it. I'm so delighted for her...but I don't want to be blinded to any possible dangers.

I'm absolutely positive I do not need to worry about bulemia with my ****. She loves her food too much to give it back!:D I'm also with her for just about all meals (she's dual enrolled for her senior year in HS, so she comes home for lunch and then goes to her university classes)--I would definitely notice if she were going "Karen Carpenter" on me!:D BTW, she does take a multivitamin.
