I was starting this thread typing away with the intent to go underground and not post my weight until the end of the race and then I stopped. I’m truly disgusted with my weight, the efforts made to no avail and many more things that I will not burden you with. With the increase in exercise I expected to at least stay the same but noooooo. My appetite has not budged a bit in fact it has increased and the craving for sweets has too. And with the increase in blood sugar my dear wife gives me “that look” (you men know of what I speak:rolleyes2:) every time I pick up a sugary snack. If I keep losing battles the war is sure to follow:mad2: .... end rant and climbing down off the pity pot....

Hope your week was better than mine. Also, lets remember to keep Duffey and Charlie in our prayers. The little fellow is quite sick and grandma is babysitting and will need all the strength she cam muster!

2012 Race To St Paddy’s Day Start Weight: 226.5
Last Week: 220.0
This Week: 223.0
Race Stats: 3.5

Hoping for better days for all.

Superbob has been trying to recover from the Super Bowl munchies all week. Problem was SB didn't have a team in the SB -- if the Redskins had been in, he would have been jumping up and down and screaming and burning a lot of calories. Instead he just ate. And ate. :eek2:

The Man of Steel will give himself one more day of overload recovery and then weigh in.

Will be praying for little Charlie and his gran.

Cooker, I know that look. I can see it right now on Mrs. Chimps face. I just mentally transfer it from Cindy's face over the Sherry's face and it is identical. Women are all alike! hehe. That's a tough place to be in. I was told more than once about being prediabetic and I still haven't kicked the sugar habit. One of the hardest things I've ever dealt with.

SB, you'll get rid of Super Bowl indulgence before long. At least you went to Sea Captain's House recently. That makes for not having a team in the Bowl.

I didn't think I'd have a chance to weigh in and post this morning, but Charlie is watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, so I seized the opportunity . . . and the laptop!

Cooker, you've hit a rough patch. It happens to us all. Stick with the program and persevere.

Last week's weight: 155.5
This week's weight: 154.5
Race stats: -4.5 lbs.

Ugh, I don't want to weigh in this week, either.
Good news, though! Jet has finally recovered enough to go back to agility class tonight, albeit at very low jump heights and no A-frame for a couple of weeks. Hopefully there will be no relapses. Soooooo, I will get a little bit of exercise.
It has been soooooo hard to get up at 5 a.m. and get on the elliptical this week. It's all I can do to crawl out of bed after Jet's early morning wake-up mauling.

Cindy is down .8 this week, that is unless she weighs in again in the morning. She didn't tell me which day she's counting. I'm guessing since tonight is card playing night (weather permitting) that she's counting today. From her start weight of only two weeks ago, she down from 153 to 148.9, and total of 4.1.

I am down 1.5 this week. I started at 192.7 and have lost a total of 2.4 in the RTSPD.

Laurie, glad that Jet is doing better. Good luck with the agility trials. Hang in there as far as the weight.

SB, not a bad Super Bowl foraging gain.

Nelson, sounds like you've been having some fun. You should invite the rest of us!

Duffey, thinking of you and Charlie today. Hope he's getting better.

Hang in there Cooker.

Sadly, I'm up .4 from last Friday, up 1.5 from MONDAY. Of course, my puffy hands tell me it's because of this office luncheon we had yesterday, plus being too weary to sleep well after doggy class last night.
Even at 8" jumps Jet and I got a workout. And it's harder for me to keep up with her when all she has to do is run flat out between the uprights. Boy, she's not the only one who had an 8 week lay off, and I can TELL.
Jet was so tired this morning, she neglected to give me my early morning mauling when the alarm went off. BUT, she doesn't seem to be limping so far today, so that's good.

Laurie, glad to hear that Jet is on the road to recovery.:smile2:
Wise, congrats to you and Cindy both for getting back on track.:smile2:
Superbob, Nelson and Cooker, you'll do better this week.:smile2:

As for me, it was a horrid week, and I'm relieved that it is over. Our grandson was very ill, but he seems to be on the road to recovery. I sure do appreciate the prayers that were offered.

Here's hoping we all have substantial weight losses this coming week. Nothing like losing weight to put a smile on the old face . . . smile Cooker!:smile2:

Anniversary weekend, Valentine’s Day tomorrow, yesterday a trip to Charleston for seafood and pralines .... what the heck is TheChimp to do??????:eek2: ... I did walk an hour this morning so my exercise seems to be becoming routine ... now I just need to figure out how to keep the food intake under control ... everywhere I turn there is a party, banquette or night out with friends...:rolleyes2:

Clearly, The Chimp is a party animal. Enjoy, celebrate. The exercise will help you -- Superdawg approves.

As for your new signature, this Vols fan concurs -- go baseball Gamecocks; SB has become hooked on the great beisbol played by the lads from Columbia. Coastal Carolina has a good baseball program, too.

Superbob adds, go St. Louis Redbirds -- shock the "experts" again by making a run to a second straight and 12th all-time World Series! I love spring and the start of baseball!

Chocolate, especially the dark variety, is heart healthy, they say. Whether it is diabetic healthy is another question. But there are sugar-free varieties. Anyway, Superbob plans to enjoy a nibble or two. Happy Valentine's Day, dear Throwdowners.

Today is pig out day. EAT CHOCOLATE ! Happy Valentine's Day everyone !

Love chocolate! Not just for the girlies is it! Maybe I can find some red chocolate today. Chocolate covered cherries will suffice though! Oh, but then, there's red velvet cake. Oh yeah, black forest cake.

We are going to a fab local restaurant called Dittoes tonight. Looking forward to a wonderful heartfelt splurge meal!

Sugar free Breyer's chocolate ice cream!

Mrs. Superbob thoughtfully gave Superbob a mini-box of Whitman's chocolates -- just 3 pieces in the heart-shaped box. SB has already eaten 2/3 of them, but will try to save one for tonight. ;)
