Greetings!! Today we start the "Race to Labor Day"!! ... I hope everyone has had a good week and many thanks to SuperBob for taking the helm for a while ... I am down a 1/2 pound today so I guess my drastic loss as stopped and now I need to lose fat instead if water ...

I still plan on trying on reporting daily, it really seems to help me stay on plan ... I can't say how long it will last but one day at a time with the groups support maybe I can make it a new way of living and losing:thumbup:

Race to Labor Day starting Weight: 209.5

I'm starting at 181. Didn't gain the last weight loss totally back...yip...hehe. Good luck to all. Cindy will report tomorrow; she's getting ready to give blood at Red Cross. I think it's a strategy to get rid of a little extra weight before she has to report!

Hi Everyone;

Started my day off at 208.5, up 1.5lb from last week. My body fat percentage is around 23, which is the point I should be for a healthy adult of my height and age. Needless to say if I enter this race with the idea of loosing the most, I could fall into the unhealthy catagory of too little BF. The race turns into something different for me. Emotionally - can I hold onto the idea of being ok with myself as far as my weight goes and stay in balance of not too much or too little of any one thing? My energy level is up, can't wait to go out on my bike this afternoon. I'm ok with eating what is healthy and look forward to it at reasonable intervals. No cravings for a salt ladden greasy fast food burger today, though once a week I give in to the craving. No desire either to ride much more than 20km, that's enough. Once I get where I want it's even harder to hold onto it.

The throwdown for me is no cigarettes til Labour Day. That would be the best gift I could give myself. Outside issue from weight loss I know, but methinks there isn't too many people in this forum daft enough to still be smoking after heart surgery!!!!!

Best of Gods Grace for you all

Bob

My starting weight is 121.109 kilograms.

I will weigh in on September 2 (the Friday before Labor Day) for a comparative weight and toting of loss or gain.

I plan not to weigh before then.

Good luck to all.

Bob,

Sounds like you are doing great ... I think your cig goal is great ... I have struggled with this and know how hard it is ... I think you would be surprised how many here do ... and I'm sure we have plenty of closet smokers on VR ... maybe you will be their inspiration!!! .... GOOD LUCK:thumbup:

Good for you Wise and I think Cindy's strategy is a good one ... How much does a pint of blood weigh anyway?:biggrin2:

Greetings ... I have not walked in a couple of days but I have been VERY busy and the excessive heat just fried my will to walk:redface2: .... I have however stayed with my eating plan and am down another .5 pounds this morning ... I'm down ten pounds from my return from vacation weight but I know most of that was fluid but I feel so much better:thumbup:

Off to church then a much needed day of rest:thumbup:

Race to Labor Day starting Weight: 209.5
Today's weight: 209

Of COURSE you start this just throwdown before I plan to take off on a long weekend. Beans!

I've been good all week, and am down to 136.5. Of course, I'll be spending next weekend with my sister. Family visit means food and drink. And start all over again on the diet when I come back.
