I hope everyone has had a good week and if you are in the midst of this heat wave I hope you are staying hydrated and shaded ... Wishing all a great up coming week!!!

Good job Cooker! AND what a great loss it was. You must be doing the right stuff.

Despite having ribs twice this week, I lost 1.4 lbs.

Starting Weight: 183
Last Week: 177.3
This Week: 175.9
Loss for the week: 1.4
Loss for RW&B: 7.4

Cindy will weigh Friday or Saturday.

We are staying real close to the Scarsdale Diet but ribs sure sound good!!! Good job on your loss and hope you are both well!! I'm sure Cindy will post a loss!!!

Losing 4.5 pounds in one week is great !. Is your scale accurate..:biggrin2:

You 're the Man, Cooker...:) Keep up the good work.

Thanks Nelson ... LOL ... yes the scales are correct. I'm sure most of it is water due to the frequency of the bathroom visits. DW and I are both on the Scarsdale Medical Diet which is nothing more than fruits, low carb and lean meats. It's healthy and very structured which is what I need. It's two weeks on the two weeks maintenance. We will see how it continues to go!

I'm having BBQ tonight too! Going CW dancing with DH, the Thursday night special is some of the best ribs I've ever eaten. So I'll use up all the exercise points I've earned so far this week, plus the ones I'm planning on earning tonight, but it'l be worth it.

I am happy to report a huge loss this week. Almost 6 lbs over the last 10 days. I'm at 135.3.

Yes, indeed, I went to the cardio a week ago Tuesday, and griped strongly about all the water weight. Not only were my hands and feet puffy, my rings were uncomfortable, my lungs felt bubbly, and I had some coughing.
Increased diuretics and 6 pounds later, I've been proven right. I have skinny feet, skinny fingers, and clear lungs again.
I'm waiting on my ICD's quarterly Carelink report from this past weekend to be read - I want to see if the change in fluid load shows up, 'cause I KNOW it tracks that.

NOW I'll be able to see how I'm doing diet wise - I'd like to lose 3 real lbs from where I am now. But it's sure hard to tell how I'm doing when I'm carry all that water!

I stepped on the scale this morning and it's reading 161.:) Not sure if my scale is lying to me.:wink2: I take it !:)

Starting weight :163
Last week: 163
Today: 161

Congratulations to all of the biggest Losers!

Laurie, I'm glad you were able to get your doctor on board and be able to lose that burdensome fluid. Three pounds...you can do it!

Nelson, you did great, even if you don't know what you did. ; )

Cindy's weigh in is as follows:

CINDY:

Starting Weight: 149.9
Last Week: 146.3
This Week: 144.3
Loss: -2
Loss for RW&B: 5.6

She's happy to post a good number and get rid of the regain in the middle of the RW&B.

Look at where we all might be if we didn't have this accountability (although nonthreatening ; )) and support provided by the Throwdown. I appreciate each member lots.

Also welcome Canoe Bob. Now we have triplets on the Throwdown. Amazing!

Hooray, Cindy!

As for Superbob, he appears to be about where he was a week ago. Isn't that reassuring to have a superhero unchanged? -- You know, truth, justice, and the American way!

DW and SB just bought a whole box of yummy peaches. All ripe and ready to eat -- so many to eat, so little time...,what to do, what to do? Peach cobbler appears to be the only solution!

ALso the first real tomatoes of the season ---- about to have first sandwiches with them -- YUM!

Hi Everyone

The high tech scale I had in storage had toasted itself-guess the battery still in it did something it didn't like. I dusted off my Moms 1950's pink to match the renovated bathroom at the time analogue scale and it still works. The last time I weighed myself on that baby was in my early twenties, 220 lbs at the time with a 30" waist. I had just found out about my heart murmor at that time, forgot about it and continued to play football and toss around 100 lb bags in the family business. The bathroom is still ugly pink, shades of Father knows Best!

Todays weight 214 down from 215 I guess a week ago
Waist is 37 in, I'm still 6' 4", my shoulders have drooped since surgery...could be age too...I work on that

Dispite 2 doughnuts, 3 (big) bowls of ice cream and one trip to fast food alley I'm down a pound. Moms scales don't do decimal points thankfully. I like stuff that's as old as I am.

Results from bike rides:

Total time sitting on it moving 3hrs 43min
Kcal used 3587
59 km travelled
Max speed 28.7 kmh, remember that one, going down hill slight incline, pushed a bit and shot my heart rate to 133 bpm, oops, I'm spose to keep it at 116 or under....

The bicycle computor says a week is Monday to Sunday, I still have a chance to add to this if the weather is dry.

The cigarettes hmm..well,,ummm, nothing to cheer about there. I went back on the patch this morning and have been giving myself good self talk.

Conratulations to everyone for staying in the game, kudos to those with a loss!

Bob

So now we have two Bob(sey) twins! One SB and our new one CB! I loved your post CB and the story of the pink scales! :biggrin2: Down a pound is good. In fact it sounds to me like every one on the throwdown did very well this week except for me!! Parents visiting, sister's birthday, father's day, ya da ya d ya da. I've got as many excuses as the number on the thermometer outside! ( We actually got a little rain Tues. night Hoooray!! )

Really good job everybody - especially Cooker for getting back on track! I'm proud of all my fellow throwdowners.:biggrin2::D

Now to my own story - not as bad as it could have been. I'm up .8 lbs but there is only 1 more week and a couple days until July 4th!! Are we going to all weigh the morning of the 4th and report it on next week's thread?:confused2:

Start of RW&B : 215
Last Week 206.2
This week 207
Gain: 0.8
Total loss for race: 8 lbs.

Poor Rhena! It is heck to post and then have it just sit there day after day as others don't post. Superbob has been there himself. :D Sooooo, Superbob is stepping in like a true superhero and putting his own post here to rescue the damsel.

Nothing much to report --- hot, hot, hot -- hoping for something tropical but less than a hurricane to hydrate us and cool us off. Food -- I dunno...hectic days, need for comfort food. DW made peach cobbler from nice ripe peaches bought at market -- what can I say (not much cause my mouth is full). :tongue2:

But hey HOW "BOUT THEM SOUTH CAROLINA GAMECOCKS -- NCAA BASEBALL CHAMPS FOR SECOND YEAR IN A ROW!!!!! YAY COCKS!!!!
