Good morning fellow Throwdowners! I trust this finds you well and a little lighter. I have had a week of very little walking and a lot of eating goodies so I’m not surprised I’m up 2.5 pounds. I really thought it would be more. I just don’t seem to be able to stay on track right now but I’m sure not going to beat myself up over it.

I had good and bad news from the doctor this week. After reviewing my my blood sugar records that I have kept over the last month or so she pronounced me nondiabetic and told me that I could discontinue testing. The bad news (I guess) is that she found my BP, in her words, to be “a tad high” and has started me on a low dose of BP meds to address it.

With all that people have to deal with, with all going on in their lives, I am truly grateful for the health I have. I just did not really want to add another pill ... it makes me all the more aware of aging....

Enough about me. How did you do this week? If you have a magic bullet shoot it my way!!!

Red White & Blue Starting weight .... 215.5
Last Week .... 212.0
This Week .... 214.5
Race Stats: -1.0

Cooker,
It's good to read that your blood sugar appears to be a non-issue, and I hope the slight blood pressure issue is resolved with a low dose medication.:smile2:

I've had a good week. I'm down a pound and a half, and clothes that I wore a month ago, that were a little tight, are hanging loose today.:smile2:

It's a busy week coming up. We're making a quick trip "home" so I can see my best girlfriend who's in from Michigan. Next week is devoted to getting everything set up for the 5K Run/Walk that our daughter organized to focus attention on the one year disappearance of her still missing best friend and co-worker. Our entire family is either running or walking it, and we have more family coming in from out of town Friday night so they'll be ready for the 8:15 am race start. I realize it is going to be a very emotional day for us all.

If I am scarce around the Throwdown this week, don't be surprised. I will be backkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!:tongue2:

Last week: 150.5
This week: 149
Loss for the race: 2.5

I'm permanently stuck at 138 point something.

Big dog-folks party this weekend, so next week is not looking good for weigh in.

Good job Duffey! Eating out can be a nemesis for sure Laurie. I understand where you're coming from Cooker. You can lose that 2.5 easily though!

I weighed 182.9, a loss of .6 for the week and 10.7 for the Race. Cindy gained about .8, we think. We did gorge ourselves at Crackerbarrel last Sunday. Not a problem except that we ate way too much and were beyond miserable.
