Greetings ... I hope this weeks Throwdown finds all well ... we seem to have a lot going on within our little group and I'm always pleased and sometimes amazed how we support one another ...

I'm down about a pound (give or take an OZ or two) ... started walking this week and feeling a bit more positive ... Good luck to all and remember, crap, I forgot what I was going to say:tongue2:......

RW&B Starting Weight: 202
Today's Weight: 211

Good job, Cooker; good job, Superbob.:smile2:
I'm down a half pound. It might have been a bigger loss, but I was very tired yesterday, and I ate instead of taking a nap. I should have followed the advice that I gave to Superbob, but then that would be a case of do as I say, not as I do.:wink2:

Last week: 156
This week: 155.5
Loss: 1/2 pound

Better 1/2 down than 1/2 up .... sometimes ya just gotta eat:smile2:

I gain, gain, gain:mad2: ... could it have been the cookies, Japanese food, fried chicken? ... I think it's time to except my weight and party hardy:thumbup:

Blimey! I'm up three pounds this week. I'm surprised that I gained that much. I started the Race to the RW&B at 183. This week I'm at 183.3. I've erased an almost 5 pound loss in two week. Ugh.

In remedy, this morning I rejoined Weight Watchers. This time online only, WW for men. Now I wish I had an iPhone to track my points with since it is very different than the last plan. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Cindy is requesting a mulligan this week. Pretty please? ; )

Wise, I understand your pain/gain ... good luck ....

Cindy is granted as many mulligans as she wants as I have declared 2011 "The Year Of The Mulligan":biggrin2:

Good job SB & Duffey. Nelson - at least you are consistent. Cooker your tone sounds like someone who might be considering a chocolate chip cookie binge... put down the carbs - you will thank me for it later :tongue2::angel: Wise - it sure can creep back on fast can't it. I'm trying to take off about 20 lbs I put on since a cruise/holidays/surgery, etc. I've lost it before I can lose it again!

So no Mulligan for me this week no sirree! I was surprised myself, but I was down 2.6 lbs. I think I'm finally on a roll and being tortured in cardiac rehab. SB, we have a couple of hot nurses in charge of my class. They'd make your heart go pitter patter. ;)

Just watching the news - what is going on? I thought Armageddon was supposed to be yesterday? Anyway, my thoughts and prayers to all those folks in Joplin, Mo and general area. Hope no throwdowners have connections there. It is a seriously bad tornado season. :eek2:

Starting RW&B 215
Last week 210.2
This week 207.6
Weekly loss 2.6
Race loss 7.4

Great progress, Rhena --- and hey, how do I sign up for your cardiac rehab? Hot nurses -- yes! Heading out now to do my volunteer rounds at the hospital -- there are hot nurses there, too -- I am reserving some for whenever I have to have a heart re-do. All joking aside, nurses are angels. Wonderful people.

This has been a horrible tornado season -- difficult to fathom what befell the people of Joplin, MO last night -- praying for them and for others affected.

Thank you all kindly for your congrats! That is going to be pretty tough to beat this week - or maybe not considering I may not be able to eat much.

I started having a tooth/gum/jaw ache this weekend. Looks like I am having part 1 of a root canal tomorrow. :eek2: I'm so dreading that - never had one - never had a cavity even - but damn are my gums a problem for some reason. I do all the right things! My mouth hurts so much though that I'll be glad to have it fixed.

I'm going to OD on anti-biotics at this rate. Took them today before periodontist, now will take another kind tomorrow before the root canal and am also on regular penicillin to treat the infection over 10 days time. With all those meds in me though, surely it won't spread to my new valve.

Too bad none of ya'll will be around to see me drooling all over myself - it'd be worth a few laughs I'm sure.

Rhena ... not at all minimizing dental work for us valvers but I have had three root canals and there was really nothing to it ... anesthetics are wonderful things...

got dental visit myself today, DW and I both, but hopefully it's just routine cleaning. Taking those antibiotics though, as docs have had me do for maybe 30 years.

I agree with Cooker, Rhena: a root canal sounds horrible, but I have found them not nearly so bad as I expected. Best wishes to you for as pleasant a visit to the dentist as possible.
