This has been a crazy week. I have been back on track since Monday and have undone some of the damage done by not being able to walk and the new Chick-fil-A Chocolate Chunk Cookie:redface2: .... In tracking my blood sugar it is apparent that all is good if I exercise and eat right, go figure.:rolleyes2: I’m down 1.5 from last week and hope to drop more between now and vacation in June.

Wise & Cindy seem to be setting the example for all of us!!! Way to go guys and keep it up!!!

Red White & Blue Starting weight .... 215.5
Last Week .... 213.5
This Week .... 212.0
Race Stats: -3.5

Good going Cooker! I don't let myself go to Chik-fil-A much because they have the world's best milkshake hands down. I could fit it in when I know I can trust myself. You working around those delectables and still being on a downward trend deserves a big thumbs up!

Mary, you are too funny. Now I know that I have been exercising, even when I didn't think so!

I am trending down 2 pounds for this week. Will weigh officially tomorrow. I am so pleased with the progress I've made in just a month.

I weigh the same as last week. In fact, I weigh within a couple of ounces of what I weighed when I finished cardiac rehab 7.5 years ago. With my ups and downs, this is where I seem to always settle. Not saying it's ideal, but it seems to be my set point. I can't embark upon any severely limited diets because of type 2 realities. Bottom line: I'm not in any more races. I will check in here, and try to chip in a thought or two without going into the "gutter."

Congratulations to all of you who are doing so well.

Bob, I understand. I seem to have a set point that keeps coming back as well. Sometimes I think all we can do is try and do the best we can and let it be what it will be. Keep coming around and maybe you will drop the pounds I gain:rolleyes2:

Maybe no more races, but your witty input is a must! I do think we all have a high set point than we did in our youth...the 30's and before. Maybe you're close to where you should be for your steely frame! ; )

Here's our report for this week:

CINDY:

Starting Weight: 151.3
Last Week: 148.5
This Week: 147.6
Weekly Loss: .9
Loss for the RWB: 3.7

WISE:

Starting Weight: 193.6
Last Week: 185.5
This Week: 183.5
Weekly Loss: 2
Loss for RWB: 10.1

Yay is all I can say!

Keep it up guys...onward and downward!

You and Cindy are both doing GREAT! Congratulations on getting back on track and leading the way towards RWB day!

As for me . . . . I had an up-close and personal encounter with heat exhaustion this morning. I'm on the couch recuperating. I mention it because I think the diuretic I take played a part in its happening, so now that summer's almost here, everyone watch when exercising in the heat.

Take care of yourself Mary and take it easy today. Heat exhaustion can be scary. Rest rest rest.

Thanks for the advice, Wise and Cooker, and I have done just exactly what you both suggested.

Yesterday's event happened so quickly that I was caught completely unaware. I underestimated the effect of the lasix on my overall fluid level, hadn't had anything to drink from early morning, and overheated. I became a little "shocky", BP dropped, I fainted, then started throwing up. It all happened iin the space of about 3 minutes time.

Anyway, getting inside the air conditioning, using cool washrags, laying down and then drinking water did the trick. My blood pressure returned to normal and my heartrate came back down. I took it easy all day yesterday and feel good today.:smile2:

Glad to hear you're better! Maybe you can strap a tank of water to your back when you're out in the heat!

Thanks Bob.:smile2:

On another note, when did we have the mini-reunion in Gatlinburg? I want to check what my weight was then, but I can't find the Throwdown thread. I thought it was Sept./October of 2009?
