With St Patty's Day Race behind us it's time to look toward the Race For The Red, White and Blue (July 4th) ... If we start next week on April 1st we will have a little over three months of the RW&B challenge ... what's it to be? ... I'm all for starting next week but will do whatever the group wants; we should decide this week ....

As for this week I am down 3 pound ... I have done nothing more than cut out processed sugar foods (candy, cake, pie, donuts, ice cream, milkshakes, the list goes on) ... I still have a snack when I want one but it has usually been fruit or a few crackers and cheese ... I hope everyone has had a great week ... you guys are the best:thumbup:

Last week : 207
This week: 204

I think I have managed not to gain any more weight this week, but I will weigh tomorrow in hopes I might find a pound or so loss.

Starting next week is fine with me. If we do that, is this week's weight the base weight?

I'm ready to start the race to the 4th. I'd like to use this week's weight as my starting # so I can get going. I didn't have a chance to weigh this morning due to an early appointment, but I'll weigh tomorrow and report it.

Also, should we just have an individual competition this time, or boys-versus-girls, or co-ed teams picked in some way or other? Is Rhena soon to rejoin us -- anyone heard from her?

No words from Rhena. I think maybe ShezaGirlie might know....... I am good with individual, boys-versus-girls, or co-ed teams.

The Red, White, and Blue race that Superbob will own begins April 1. ;)

Superbob has held steady this past week.

Superbob has promised his doctor that he will show progress when he steps on the doc scales next in July, so this race is perfectly timed.

I'm okay to count todays weight. I'm okay to start next week. My weight is not okay.

If the next stretch starts next week, I may report my starting weight then. ; )

Count me in for next week !! I will start reporting my weight next week. Ladies and gentlemen. On your mark, get set, ready, go! ... Let the race begin. May the best biggest loser win.

I'm starting next week's contest using this week's weight--156.

Individual results sound good to me, but I'd like to see a Throwdown weight loss goal set for the Red, White and Blue--25 pounds for the group? 30? 35?

I'll volunteer to add up the total when the race ends.

Oh man, what a discovery. Superbob dropped Mrs. Superbob off at a meeting, then went to Eggs Up Grill in Surfside Beach for a late breakfast (Waitress T-SHIRT: "There's nothing like a great pair of eggs!") Best breakfast I ever had: two eggs cooked perfectly, three link sausage, wheat toast, fresh OJ, great coffee, and of course a huge bowl of grits.

SB feels so full he wouldn't eat a Krispy Kreme even if he had one hot right in front of him!:p

Maybe that's what SB needs to do -- start each day with a big ol' breakfast like this.
EGGS-zackly! :p

well, probably won't be this big every morning -- could do without the grits, with all those carbs. But I need protein at every meal to keep my blood sugar up -- and eggs are a great choice.

I am sticking with the no sugar snack plan pretty well ... I had a serving of frozen yogurt at our favorite spot (32* a yogurt bar) and did have some peanut butter last night but I don't think that falls in to the forbidden zone ... anyway, my weight is creeping down and I'll take the losses 1/4 pound at a time if that's what it takes .... Downward!!!!
