Okay, boys and girls, The Great Pumpkin (Pie) Race is coming down the home stretch!

Only two more weigh-in weeks await after this one.

The boys are ahead, but Superbob is worried about The Chimp running wild through the State Fair and eating every fried delicacy in sight. :eek2: Fortunately, Superbob himself feels lean and mean -- he has been exercising with Superdawg and eating sensibly. Hopefully the scales will reflect that tomorrow morning.

Here's hoping everyone had a good week, especially the guys. :D

I'm counting on Cooker to have eaten everything in sight. Whether he gains weight or not, is another question.:rolleyes2:
I think I've had a pretty good week. I haven't weighed since last week-end, so we'll see . . . . tomorrow.:wink2:

Where have all the ThrowDowners gone? Gone to pig out, every one? :rolleyes2:

All right, boys and girls, girls and boys, you don't want Superbob coming after you! What are you up to? Have the girlies conceded this race? Have the little boys gone to "counting their gamecocks before they've hatched"? SB demands to know! :mad2::wink2:

No worries, Superbob.
The mouth of the South will be back anytime now. :biggrin2: I believe his plans were dependent upon an old fashioned southern meal, maybe in a town called Social :confused2: . . . . don't quote me on that . . . . , but he'll be around.
I bet the girls are too busy exercising to be online.:wink2::angel:

If you wish, I will tell you SpongeBob. What am I doing ? I am in the bathroom trying to get it all out !!!:biggrin2:

We are still here. I have been behaving and hoping to lose something this week. The scale has been very reluctant to give up anything. Fingers crossed!

Up one pound:rolleyes2:

Starting Weight: 233
Last Week: 195
This Week: 196

Great Pumpkin Race
Starting Weight: 200
Last Week: 195
This Week: 196
Minus 4 For The Race

I've had problems with water retention this week. Fat fingers and puffy feet (ok, 3 lbs is not major but I can't see the tendons in my feet, and my wedding band is tight) and I don't know what I've eaten to cause it. I'd say it's hormonal, but since I've been spayed, that's hardly the issue it once was.

Saturday I was 132.9, yesterday I hit 136 (eek!). Today I'm back down to 134.6, but that is still up 1.5 from last week.

I'm counting my WW points, taking my lasix, exercising, and drinking water....

It looks as though we've got a trend going, and it doesn't seem to be downward!:eek2:Yes, I gained a pound.:thumbd:

I will take this opportunity to vent about my latest physical infirmity; I doubt that it impacts my weight in any manner, but that won't stop me from grumbling.:rolleyes2:

My right shoulder has been "frozen" for at least a month--probably more like six weeks. I dealt with this immediately following replacement, but it was the left shoulder. Not only is the mobility in my shoulder/arm/ hand severely limited, but the pain is also pretty intense. The combination of the two is beginning to wear on my nerves.:mad2: I've even resorted to placing the mouse on the left hand side of the keyboard and typing mainly left handed.:eek2:

Ok, end of whine, back to the Great Pumpkin Race.:tongue2:

Last week's weight: 158
This week's weight: 159
Gain of a pound

No gain or loss for the Race . . . . yet! :biggrin2:

Agreed, there seems to be a trend emerging this week, and it's not on the minus-pounds ledger. :eek2:

Duffey, you don't need a nag from me, but you know you need to go to the doc or a specialist to have that looked into. My DW has a frozen shoulder after healing from a shoulder fracture. I won't venture a guess what yours is, but it seems to me disturbing that it has migrated from one shoulder to another.

Laurie, I remember how frustrating it was for me to find pounds up in the weeks after surgery -- the opposite of what you would expect. But it sounds like your recovery is going well overall, and that's great.

Mr. Chimp, how much prune juice did you drink to keep your State Fair gain to just one pound?

Maybe there are guys or gals yet to report who will grab top spots on this week's loserboard. :D Superbob hopes to have a bit more to lose before Halloween, but then he may want to enjoy putting a pound or two back on before losing any more.

I've even resorted to placing the mouse on the left hand side of the keyboard and typing mainly left handed.:eek2::

Oh geez Lady Gaga......been there, done that..!:eek2: Sure fire cure for my shoulder was the cortisone shot. That dang PT nearly killed me..:mad2:

It's in the water this week.....I'm staying the same and that's a *whew* since we had sushi last evening. We're off to Austin in a while to see/hear *Mr. Swivel Hips* tonight...:biggrin2: www.benise.com There is nothing quite as sexy as a Spanish guy with long hair playing the guitar... Surely I will *sweat* off a few pounds..

hey! I lost 8 lbs, oh wait, I bought a new scale. So I am going to convert my old weights to my new scale.
old start: 226 new 218
first week old 223 new 215
second week old 224 new 216
this week 215.8 (new) so a loss of .2

Good morning 'downers. Here's Cindy's and my reports for this week.

CINDY:

Last Week: 142
This Week: 141.8
Loss: .2

WISE:

Last Week: 174.1
This Week: 173.1
Loss: 1 lb.

Finally making some progress again. Losing weight and living healthily can be a pain, but it's worth it. No pain, then gain? In reality, I am happier when I'm controlling what I eat. When I eat whatever for a whole day, I feel like a slug or something for a few days. Keep it up everyone, especially you guys!

So Superbob was awakened this morning to make Pop-Pop Pancakes before church, and how does one make Pop-Pop Pancakes without eating Pop-Pop Pancakes.:eek2:

And yesterday Superbob and the Mrs. won a free dinner at Carrabas at the Heart Walk.:eek2:

So between The Chimp's foraging and SB's eating adventures, the girlies may have reason to hope for a last-minute comeback in The Great Pumpkin (Pie) Race!

There is the syndrome (suffered most by the male of the human and simian species) of "counting one's gamecocks before they hatch."

Ask The Chimp to explain that one. :tongue2:
