Greetings and Happy July 4th to all! I hope all are well and ready for a big day of celebrating our nation's independence! Last week was one of the few weeks if not the only week I did not post my weight, that's not my way. I have always held myself accountable and never been embarrassed about it ... don't know why I didn't post it but I didn't. I'll try and do better.

I'm down some and it's a result of cutting back on bad carbs. Lord knows I've been too busy to exercise!! Planning a day at the lake with friends today and of course it will include all the necessary delicacies required by 4th of July celebrations!! I hope everyone has had a good week and please be safe:thumbup:

2014 Starting weight: 231
Last Weigh-in: 227.50
This Week: 224.00

Great report, Cooker! As for me, I am spiraling out of control. At least I am here. I'm not sure iuf my my diabetes med is doing a number inn me, or I'm just undisciplined. Starting all over after the Fourth --- looks like Im up about 3 this week -- but also need to get some good scales to keep more exact track. Nothing changes with me, does it? :redface2:

Happy Fourth of July, Throwdowners!

Bob ... you are a rock, meds can be a culprit for sure .... anybody interested in a Labor Day Sprint?... I always lose the sprints and races but I'm willing to suck hind teat for the team:biggrin2:

Good news is that this new med keeps my blood sugar at uncommon lows (for me, THAT IS ; normal for normal people).

Bad news is that this new med keeps my blood sugar really low.

Sometimes too low -- I get shaky. Have to have a quick snack to bring the sugar up -- even a soft drink and a candy bar if nothing else is available (I carry glucose tablets now for an emergency)….

Hard exercise can make the sugar drop more.

So more snacks, less exercise -- not a formula for losing weight. Debating if I need to refer myself to an endocrinologist --- never seen a specialist. My GPs always have thought they could handle it. Or maybe I need a refresher course at the hospital on diabetes management. Helpful snacks, exercise strategy.

Anyway nothing like listening to me bitch on a holiday.

HAPPY FOURTH, EVERYONE!

Duffey is our supermodel of consistency Bet she can win any sprint by just staying on course. :D

I wasn't too bad on the Fourth -- we had a cookout and I was presented with a big ol' burger hot off the grill. I ate it. Then I ate a hot dog with the works. Better than the ol' days when I would have eaten a half-dozen.
