Okay, Superbob is opening another Throwdown Week -- I see Steve has posted an early report. Sounds like you are hanging in there, Steve, good goin'.

Superbob is still digesting the news from yesterday that he and DW are the expectant grandparents of Grandbaby No. 4, due to arrive in this world next spring! Talk about the spiritual and medical blessings I have received! To be able (thanks to my complex heart surgery that would not have been feasible a few generations ago) to see these sweet grandchildren born, and then witness their own talents and personalities blossoming, is a huge blessing! Now I have incentive to stay/get in the best shape I can, and, Lord willing, be around to help welcome the new grandson or granddaughter into the world (have no preference, both blue and pink are sweet!)....:wink2: As far as sports, granddaughter Hannah seems to be the most athletic type in the whole family.

As for weighing-in, couldn't this morning, 'cause two of the grandkids (excited as all get-out by the anticipated arrival of a baby sister or brother) were over here early for Pop-Pop pancakes. Already talking about possible names. They will be great big sister and big brother to the new arrival.

Will get on the scales tomorrow -- I think i have had a good week. Have had salmon twice. Have done best to get hobbling ol Sadie dawg a decent walk (pray she will be around to see a new grand baby), have kept Dasher the wonder dawg, who is a handful, have just been busy, busy, busy -- which is good.

Hope you all have had good weeks, too. Look forward to hearing from ALL you all! :biggrin2:

I'm back and back on track!! I will weigh in tomorrow as well. Congrats on the new coming bundle of joy Bob!!! We had a great vacation and I'm back walking. I have a long way to go but I'm confident that good things are to come!!! I know I gained on my trip and have lost some of it but will need to stay on track before the next boondoggle!!!

Great to be home!! Let the foolishness begin!!!!:tongue2:

You are indeed blessed, Bob. Congratulations all around!:smile2:
I had my hands full with both grandchildren this morning, so I will weigh in tomorrow morning.
Tom, glad to see you back. You are allowed NO more absences until and unless I decide to grant them.:wink2:
I think the hounds need to be turned loose to find Wise and Cindy and bring them back to the fold, and I hope Laurie stops by to let us know how the hot Texas temperatures have affected her week.:smile2:

I concur fully with Duffey in all this!

Great to see Mr. Chimp back -- and we're looking for all our other merry Throwdowners, too!

I'm reporting in with a gain of 1/2 pound since my last weigh in which is a big accomplishment with vacation and all. I have lost a good bit sense return but will not report that because I know a lot of it was fluid from being in the car so much.

I have been walking daily and cutting back on portions (last night I actually asked for a to go plate:eek2:) and I hope to stay on track for awhile!!! All is good; Have a great week:thumbup:

2013 Starting Weight: 231
Last Weigh In : 226.5
Todays Weight: 227.0
YTD: -4.0

I've stayed the same this week. I suppose that's good, but I had hoped to lose some.
I'm watching a sick grandchild today so I've got to skedaddle. Congrats on holding your own over vacation, Chimp!:smile2:

Sounds like The Chimp and the Duffster are doing well....way to go, folks! :smile2:

Superbob didn't see the magical number he saw last Monday -- maybe that was a mirage, or a burp of the WW scales....anyway he did see a very slight loss.

Last week: 257.7

This week: 257.4

For the year: down 7.6

At least it's the right direction.

Has the keeper of the dawgs released the hounds to find Wise? :confused2:

I'm back from a weekend jaunt up to Wisconsin. Had to take the wife to see how they make the cheese. Of course, when we wander the countryside like that, we eat very well. Found a great little Indian restaurant in Middleton (suburban Madison), and a wonderful locavore all-natural restaurant in downtown Madison. Add that to the ice cream made at the University of Wisconsin dairy farm, and a couple of other treats and I expected a net gain for the weekend. Surprise! I'm right where I was last Thursday when I weighed in. Happy, happy camper here!

Maybe Superdawg can direct the search for Wise and Cindy. Superdawg can get onto the canine party line and find out where Perry took them.

Hang in there, everyone, and enjoy summer!

I'm BAAACK. We spent 8 days in Oregon, drove 1500 miles with some friends along the Columbia river gorge, past Mt. Hood through the central Cascades, around Crater Lake, then down to CA for a peek at the redwoods, up the coast, up to St. Helens, then back to Portland. It was mostly sunny, the cliffs (especially Crater Lake) scared the bejeebers out of me, the redwoods were huge (we've yet to see Sequoias). There were Osprey and gulls, Peregrines and guillemots and murres. Clark's nutcrackers, goldfinch, Stellar jays, crows, and LBJs (little brown jobs), eagles, heron, canada geese, Western grebes, and Oregon juncos (LBJ's with black hoods).

We walked 2 to 3 miles each day. We had wine (some good, some bad), and lots of cheese, cherries, and blueberies.

Now, back to my diet.

Wow, Laurie and Steve -- loved to hear of your travels, but now I am envious ... of the ice cream, the wine, the cheese.... and all those birds in the great northwest! We have a good variety on this coast, too, but sounds like you were able to watch some that I haven't yet seen.

Welcome back, both of you!

Aw, gee. . . we were only 150 miles from home for a weekend. It sounds like Laurie was on an odyssey. That kind of road trip will probably have to wait until we are retired, especially now that our only daughter lives 1,000 miles away. Our trips will often be to visit her and her hubby in western MA.
