Superbob is pinch-hitting for The Chimp in opening this week's thread.

Hope we're all hanging in there, even hopefully doing well.

SB will strive to weigh tomorrow.

(Trying to avoid whining here. Saw ortho yesterday for back pain (spinal stenosis) -- prescribed 6 weeks of PT; got to set it up today. They also saw calcification of aorta on the x-ray. Have just called cardio -- think it may be nothing significant -- had an okay echo back in March -- we'll see. Meanwhile GP has reduced dose of new diabetes med so hopefully I won't be having blood sugar crashes -- just nice, in-range ones. Do I have a lot going on? Looks like it. Bright side: Maybe the PT will help me lose a few pounds.)

Okay, we all have our challenges….Superbob has to muster his steely resolve and move forward. Sometimes cheery resolve is harder….

Anyway…

Cheers,

Superbob

Superbob, you do have a lot going on!

I weighed this morning. I'm down a pound from last week so only one pound above the year's starting weight. My progress losing weight is so much slower than my progress in gaining weight, but I guess that's a common complaint in the Throwdown forum!:wink2:

We're leaving town for 10 days so no weigh-in for me next week. On a less happy note :rolleyes2:eek:ne of my oldest, dearest friends is having her aortic valve replaced in St. Louis tomorrow, so I'd appreciate any and all prayers you might be able to send her way.

Have a good week, Losers!

well, it's clear the Throwdown wanes when Superbob takes over for The Chimp, so next time I think we should just have Chimp re-runs here. (It works for NCIS and Jimmy Fallon et al). :tongue2:

Maybe the problem is that SB can be such a Gloomy Gus unlike the almost always upbeat Chimp. Or maybe the Chimp is just cuter.

IN any event, SB appears to be down 2 pounds for the week -- using clunky, old-fashioned scales cause digital one is not working.

That's it from me.

Best to all….. over and out.

Superbob always does an awesome job pinch hitting for the Chimpster. Lack of posts is directly related to vacation-taking Throwdowners (in my humble opinion). Everyone should follow my example and post from the road . . . currently I-90 in southern Wisconsin.:wink2:

I don't really have a lot to report. Cindy's pretty much staying the same and making good choices most of the time. My new doctor put me on a diet of meat, veggie, and some fruit, plus good fats. No sugar, no grains, no this and that... anyway, she diagnosed me with adrenal fatigue and has me on a regimen to get me back to a normal energy level. I'm having a sugar fit about now. Going to try to a little Stevia, which my neighbor gave me. Stevia is the only sweetener I am allowed. I think it has a bitter aftertaste, but maybe that will convince me I don't need sugar if I have to go to that extreme.

Hey throwdowners,

On vacation at Pensacola, fl, and saw the U.S. Navy' s Blue Angels perform Saturday. Awesome. Google it. Awesome experience. Proud to be an American.

I am familiar with the Blue Angels. They perform every year in Louisville before "Thunder over Louisville" which is the countries biggest fireworks display, held each year during the Kentucky Derby Festival, which is just another excuse to eat really, lol. Anyway, what they do is amazing, although I don't go downtown in that crowd, so I've never seen them live.

Enjoy your vacation!
