Crazy week and no change in sight ... I am down 2 pounds this week ... I will try and be a bit more active in the throwdown but not a promise as work and life have me by the short hairs these days ....:eek2:

How did your week go? ...

I thought about running a 5K once .... I got as far as the carb load stage:biggrin2:

2013 Starting Weight: 231
Last Weigh In : 228.00
Todays Weight: 226.00
YTD: -5

I feel your pain, Mr. Chimp. Life has a way with things. At the moment, aside from a very busy month at work, I have a list of things that must be done at home and a daughter getting ready to move away from her home town for the first time. Life is good, but it sure is hectic and stressful.

We are getting torrential tropical rain on the coast right now from Tropical Storm Andrea. I swear an inch must have fallen just as I watch it through the window the past 10 minutes. Wondering how I will ever get Superdawg to do her business. Worrying about flooding if this keeps up for two or more days. :eek2:

DW had a taste for Italian yesterday so I think I will do rainy day exercises (maybe involving rowing) and weigh tomorrow.

Where's Leaderman40? I hope we haven't scared him off!:eek2:

I gained that pound I lost last week. I sure don't want to start yo-yoing again, so I will stop buying my temptation food . . . avocados!

This week: 146.5
Last week: 145.5
Loss for the year: 5

Sorry everyone! I'm back!

January 2013 weight: 228
Last weight: 216.5
Today's weight: 217.5
Total lost: -10.5

I got as low as 214 in between. My doc gave me the all clear so I have resumed weightlifting and kickboxing, so the scale is going to get wonky on me as my muscles that deteriorated start to come back. Right now I'm training for another 5K and a mud run(both in September), so I need to get serious about getting this 30 lb anchor off my midsection. Keep up the good work everyone!

Glad to read that you've been able to resume the weightlifting and kickboxing! Your weight probably will go up for awhile as you pick up lost muscle mass. The upcoming 5K and mud run will keep you motivated!

Somehow even with a lot of extra walking, I'm not making much of a difference in my weight.
Start of the year: 164.6
Today: 160.0

I've been down to 159.XX, but can't yet stay there. At least it is early in the warm season here, so there's hope.

Superbob's starting weight, New Year's Day 2013: 265

Superbob's weight this morning: 254.4

Net weight loss so far this year: 10.6 pounds

Superbob has attained his modest goal of "seeing the 250s" for the first time in 20 years. Now, of course, he must maintain. But wait, is it possible that he "will see" the 240s before the end of this year?

Stay tuned.

Ugh. I can't seem to lose no matter how hard I try. I'm stuck at 148. 2 years ago I was 132!!!

I've given up chocolate, alcohol, cheese, and now I've cut down on carbs and beef.
Eating my daily WW points plus activity points didn't work. That's how I gained the weight in the first place. Eating only my daily points didn't work. No budge.
I'm still exercising, on the eliptical and walking, doing yoga, some weight work. I'm not chasing the dog around the agility field anymore, but 60 second spurts were not that much exercise.

This week I'm leaving points on the table and I'm going to starve to death! This can't be healthy! I desperately want to get back into my wardrobe, instead of being stuck with (unflattering) wrap dresses, 2 pr of pants, and 1 skirt that fits. GRRRRR.

Have we all let it go by unremarked that our beloved Chimp has just entered his 10,000th post with this start of another Throwdown week? Congratulations, Mr. Chimp --- and the Man of Steel hereby declares this a good occasion for lots of celebration this weekend ---- cake, berry pies, milkshakes, scones, banana pudding ... whatever one's preference may be. :biggrin2:

Seriously, thank you for keeping this valuable forum going, and for all you do with your good advice and good humor in general on this site.:thumbup::thumbup:

Our report this week reflects an unusual week including some dessert, fried things, a little stress, and a gain. I'm not worried, but I gained 3.8 this week. Won't reflect on that too long. Have ramped up my activity and am still mentally on game. Will eradicate this temporary gain within two weeks, if not one.

Cindy, for the same reasons, is up 3.6. She also is still mentally on for the long haul!

My new goal, in SB and Steve fashion, is to set a new normal of the 160's. This week's weight puts me 9.7 lbs from that level.

Mary, how is it going? Are you getting mentally prepared for your challenge? That's the hardest part for me. Once I have mental confidence, I'm not swayed. Cheering you on as you prepare for the big event!

It is quiet here! -- everyone out having milkshakes and sundaes to beat the heat? Or maybe smoothies, which I discovered as a post-PT treat.

Hang in there Wise & Cindy, know you will be on steady course. Here's to less stress for us all.

I have had trouble walking in humidity that is so thick you can slice it. Have been doing my exercises, however. I guess I am going to have to go to workout room despite DW complaining that I'll hurt myself. Actually we did the exercise bike every day in PT...

Where's The Chimp? What trees is he swinging from?

So sorry to hear this very sad news. Sarah was a delightful person who helped a lot of people here with her inspirational words and fighting spirit. My best thoughts and prayers are with her family. May that spirit of hers prevail forever.
