I know this is early but I will be out of pocket Thursday and Friday so I'm posing today.... I'm not getting on the scales as I have not even tried to stay on track this week... too much going on...

Hope all are well and having success ... maybe I'll get back with it soon:confused2:

The Chimp unplugged -- a scary vision. :p Have no idea what my weight situation is this week -- possibly a little better. But I've been having a hard time adjusting to a change of type 2 meds -- have tried to eat more disciplined, but I have been recruited to take grandkids to Pelicans baseball tonight -- and it's $1 hot dog night (Weiner Wednesday)----like Truth, Justice, and the American Way, Superbob met uphold the tradition of copious hot dogs at professional baseball games...:biggrin2:

So we'll see -- Hebrew National dogs -- so they are good protein.

I've stayed the same through a week that found me spending too many hours and miles in a car. The good news was I did get more exercise done even if it was sandwiched between out of town trips.

Good going, Duffey -- you are a model of consistency -- okay, you are a super model! :smile2:

As for me, it is hard to maintain weigh-in consistency during the summer. My granddaughter just came over -- her dad had awakened her to take care of the wonder dawg at 6 a.m., so now she is napping and later wants pancakes, bless her heart. She's also been coming over to watch World Cup soccer with us, which has really been sweet and fun. So all that's a blessing --- just makes it hard to do the weigh-in with required nekkidness -- the only way I will weigh cause every ounce counts :eek2::biggrin2:

So I am not complaining -- will try to get some kind of weighing report….oh wait, I'm still on WW and today is weighing day. Okay will see what I can do. We didn't make it to hot dog night at the ol' ballpark after all, and I ate salmon last night and have been watching the snacks, so maybe just maybe I might see some encouraging numbers. Superbob needs some encouragement --- can you tell, or do you think his ego is already big enough? :tongue2:

Let's hear from the whole Throwdown gang today!!! YAY, US!!!! :thumb up:

P.S. Oh and a thought for those who look in and wonder why we make such a to-do over nearly a decade about our minor ups and downs with weight --- In my case, it's a question of what I would be WERE IT NOT for having the TD to keep some check on me --- Given my appetite, I would be the fat man in the traveling carnival -- a 500-pound freak they rolled from town to town for folks to gawk at and make fun of. : ) No I haven't lost 50 or 100 pounds -- it is hard for me to get on very low-calorie diets because of type 2 diabetes. But I am about 10 pounds below what I was when I finished Cardiac Rehab almost 10 years ago, and I count that as a victory. And hey if you are reading this, we very much welcome newcomers who would like to check in here anytime and chat about weight, report weekly progress if they like, and just have fun…..

BREAKING: Okay, Superbob is up 1 pound for the week, but still down 2.4 pounds for the WW tracking. Will try to do better.

Boy! We sure had a lot of activity and a lot more people back then. It was a good read. Thanks Bob !!

Well, we're hanging in, and I think that's good. Not a lot of people want to think about weight the week before the Fourth of July. I'll bet we pick back up toward fall or earlier….not to call out names, but I'm wondering about some of our regulars, like Wise & Cindy, maybe the most dedicated of us all…..

I officially weighed in for the month - lost 10 pounds! Never ever lost weight that quickly before. AND cardiologist granted me another 6 months surgery-free before I need to go retest. Good week for me!!

Sounds like everyone is doing well. Congrats to all you "losers".

I am taking a weighing hiatus for now. While I'm working on getting my energy back to a good level with a new doctor, hopefully I can start losing weight again soon. I am making fairly good choices most of the time though. Cindy is still being a poster child though she's pretty much holding her own weight wise. She really doesn't have much left to reach her goal, but she's fine right now, IMO.

Am interesting tidbit, for my friends who are interested, the Spanish/English group I'm part of here in Louisville is accepting an invitation to take part in language exchanges with native Spanish speakers who work at Churchill Downs race track. The have a training center there in which they teach English to those wanting to learn and are encouraging more of them to participate. Most of us agree it's a good idea for them to learn English. I, and maybe Cindy too, are going to start participating probably next week on Wednesday nights. I look forward to it very much. Although my proficiency level in Spanish is good I look to keep improving to a more advanced level. Anyway, this is a personal accomplishment for me to be able to converse with natives, albeit with limitations. It's a personal goal of mine that I'm achieving little by little.

Keep up the good work everyone. I will be checking in and participating in the forum even if not weighing for a bit.

Superbob, thanks for posting the old thread. I really enjoyed reading it. It's amazing how many people were involved then. It's also sad how many of them I had forgotten.

Hey throwdowners,

Glad everyone is doing well. Watching my weight by weighing everyday. Kind of painful because I fluctuate quite a bit. Just finished swimming some laps because it is so freakin hot in Mobile.

Figured out it takes twice the work for halfth the results after 50. Darn.
