Greetings and Welcome To May 2013!!! I have managed to drop 3 pound this week by strictly adhering to plan. I did side track the night of my birthday and the morning after but then right back to it. I have taken the path that suggest that food is not the most important thing and can be enjoyed in moderation (I hope). :confused2:

How are you doing? Any ideas that might help the group (strategies, recipes etc)?

I need to get back to the gym!!! Someone push!!!:eek2:

2013 Starting Weight: 231
Last Weigh In : 227.00
Todays Weight: 224.00
YTD: -7

Great job Cooker! A good loss on your Birthday week is a big victory.

Here's my weigh in for the week:

Down 2.2 for the week

Starting Weight: 194.5
Last Week: 180.9
This Week: 178.7
YTD: -15.8

Cindy isn't saying anything, so don't know if she'll report.

It looks like a good start to the Throwdown week! Congrats Cooker and Wise!:smile2: One word for you, Cooker . . . . PUSH!:biggrin2:
I stayed the same as last week, which is pretty good considering we were gone for the week-end and more calories than usual were consumed.

2013 Starting Weight: 151.5
Last Weigh In: 146.0
Today's Weight: 146
YTD: -5.5

Also, I'm trying to get in the habit of reporting my mileage walked. This past week was 11.3. The two previous weeks were a combined 20 miles. I'll have to start with a total if 31.3 miles so far since that's all I've recorded. My Moves app sends me a weekly total on Sundays, but if I fail to write it somewhere I lose that number.

You guys and gals are the best! You're all doing so well, it is just an inspiration for the rest of us.

I am losing a bit so far this year, but as I've said before, I won't really "own" it until I see that it stays that way.

Starting weight this year 164.6
Weight this AM 162.2
Loss to date 2.4

Of course this could be due to the fact that I've been able to walk several days a week at lunch time, or it could be that I've eaten less (for all sorts of reasons). Time will tell.

My gym schedule this week and next will be a mess. We have a wedding in the family (our daughter and only child) is being married next Saturday, so we are in the final stages of preparation. I might get to the gym a couple of days, might not.

Superbob's starting weight for 2013: 265

Superbob's weight this morning: 257.1

Net loss to date: 7.9 pounds

SB is not exactly sure if this is diminished appetite post-op that's speaking or other post-op stuff, sustainable or not.

One day SB is optimistic about progress of his bionic knee.

One day SB is down about the swelling and stiffness that remain, and the PT without end that is so different from the joyous cardiac rehab of 8 years ago.

One day SB thinks his new knee will be his friend for new adventures.

One day SB thinks he would have been better off not having this done.

Anyway those are the poundage numbers, and they are good I guess.

SB is not exactly sure if this is diminished appetite post-op that's speaking or other post-op stuff, sustainable or not. Don't anticipate the future, enjoy today.

One day SB is optimistic about progress of his bionic knee. As well you should be!

One day SB is down about the swelling and stiffness that remain, and the PT without end that is so different from the joyous cardiac rehab of 8 years ago. Truth be told, you probably had the same doubts during cardiac rehab that you do now. Time's passage dulls the nitty gritty.

One day SB thinks his new knee will be his friend for new adventures. I suggest you give your new knee a name, and a facebook page!

One day SB thinks he would have been better off not having this done. I understand the doubts, but that boat has sailed!

Anyway those are the poundage numbers, and they are good I guess. Correction: they are great

Glad to see you posting!

Hang in there Super Bob! My colleague who had knee replacement a couple of years ago had similar feelings about her replacement. Now, 2 years later, she is wondering why she didn't do it earlier. Hope you get to that point even sooner than 2 years.

Thanks, hanging. After doing my homework all weekend (exercises plus icing with a huge reusable pack I bought from the PT office), I go back to PT at 3 today. I wonder why there's still so much swelling. Sometimes it feels like there's a tight band right around my knee -- I wonder if that's the hardware ready to start moving. I guess all I can do is do my best and hope for the best. Cardiac rehab was a piece of red velvet cake compared to this.

Hope you're feeling better by now, Superbob.:smile2:
I guess Cooker will start the thread tomorrow, but I'm happy with my weight today! Where is that Chimp when you need him? :confused2:Guess we'll have to shake his bananas if we ever catch up with him!:wink2::biggrin2:

Yes, I agree Duffey, hope SB is feeling better! I also am happy with my weight!!

Steve, thinking of you and your family and your daughter's wedding this weekend. Enjoy it and relish the experience! Congrats to your daughter!
